Hello everyone. I got my Titan implant Dec 19th, 2012 by Dr Andrew Kramer at the University Maryland Medical Center. I will attempt to relate my experience in hopes that it may help some of you searching for an answer. I have had HBP for ten plus years which was the cause of my ED. I took oral meds for about ten years when they started to become ineffective. I am 60 and married to my wife who is 11 years younger. I stay in good shape and sex is a nice part of my life.
I started researching implants and considering injections/vacuum. After much deliberation I decided on the implant. I was not crazy about the thought of injections. I also wanted spontaneity and sex on demand. The implant was my choice. I researched/googled and read all the forums especially Frank Talk. My choice was an implant with Dr Kramer.
I had all the usual apprehensions about the implant primarily the possibility of infection. I scheduled the appointment for the first surgery of the day. The surgery and anesthesia went very well. The decision was to go home the same day. I left with the catheter in place. I am glad I did. Since I knew I would be on meds and we would frequently have to stop for me to urinate the catheter was a godsend. I easily removed it the next day. I did great for the first two days. I thought this is too easy. I even attempted some light exercise on the 5th day I felt so well. I started feeling worse on the 5-6 days.
I resumed work after 2 weeks. It was a little tough getting up/down but it was manageable. At 4 weeks I decided to try and activate the implant. I always heard know where the deflate button is before inflating. It was a little hard inflating because of my sore scrotum. When I went to deflate nothing happened. I panicked. I tried hard. I even had my wife try to no avail. I thought I was going to have to make an emergency run to UMarlyland to deflate the implant. There was no way I could go out in public or work with a boner. After about 4 hours of labor I got it to deflate. I had to squeeze really hard. I mean as hard as I could and I am not weak. That is hard to do when your balls hurt.
I took it easy activating over the next two weeks. At about 6 weeks things started to really turn around. The inflating/deflating was getting a lot easier. I also started working out again with aerobics and weights.
I am now at eight weeks and seem to be doing pretty well.
Here are some specifics. Pre surgery flaccid length 3.5”, erect length 6.5”, erect girth 4.9”. Post surgery flaccid length 6.25”, erect 6.5-6.75”. Post surgery flaccid girth 4.5” erect 4.75”. The flaccid length and girth is huge. The erect length is the same if not bigger than pre-surgery. I did not think that was possible. I had a 20cm Titan implant with a 1cm extension for a total of 21cm.
I had an orgasm during the second week. I couldn't help it. It was probably the biggest orgasm I have had in years. It scared me. It was like Mt Saint Helen erupting. I have had maybe 15 orgasms since the surgery. They are powerful. Everything is so much more sensitive to the touch. The orgasms are like volcanoes. My load is double what it used to be. Before the surgery my ejaculate was diminishing. Now it is probably 2-3 times what it was. It explodes with velocity. Just like the old days. In the beginning they were so explosive it almost hurt for awhile after. Not anymore.
To be objective I need to give the negatives. My flaccid size is so big it is hard to conceal it. I have tried all sorts of underwear but Jockey seems to work the best. I have to keep it plastered to my side to hide it. After a long day at work it starts to hurt. I can only place it to the left where the reservoir tube is. It is uncomfortable in any other position. I was previously a grower. Guys if you want a huge flaccid cock you got it. I also seem to dribble a bit after urination but this seems to be getting better. After I started working out at 6 weeks my abdomen started to hurt and it is still sore. I asked Dr Kramer about this and he said to back off for two weeks and then go back full swing. I would just hate to get a hernia. Have any of you guys had this experience?
What about Dr Kramer. He is incredible. He is the real deal. Not only does he have the intellectual and technical expertise but his bedside manners are impeccable. I researched hard for the right surgeon. He has the credentials plus he is a Harvard grad which is a feather. He has done over 3K implants with significantly less than 1% infection rate. He guaranteed me he would not lose much if any length. Not only did I not lose any length it appears like I gained length. My girth is somewhat smaller but Dr Kramer said my anatomy is controlling that. With time it will get bigger. I am not complaining. A huge plus with Dr Kramer is that he is accessible to answer and help you with any questions or concerns. I had originally considered having my local urologist do the surgery. I am glad I didn't. Dr Kramer walked me through everything pre and post surgery. He is accessible. There is no way I could get that level of care and caring from my local urologist. I could email or speak by phone. I feel I received platinum personal service. I still do not know how he got the length he did. Amazing!! It was well worth the drive.
Would I do it over again? Absolutely!! It appears my biggest problem is how to park my package. That is a complaint with a smile. I will also say that upon maximum inflation I have no discomfort. I know a lot of guys say it hurts. I have no problem pumping it up to max. I was going to break it in with my wife this weekend but she caught a bug and got sick. I wish I could relate that to you but I can't. Give me some more time. I can tell you she likes the way it looks. Can't wait.
Hope this helps. I will tell you that this forum and Dr Kramer played a significant role in my decision to proceed. I would also like to acknowledge Dr Don Martin on this forum. He also had his implant with Dr Kramer. Don I hope you don't mind me mentioning you. Your advice really helped. It helps to talk with someone who has been in the trenches.
Thanks to everyone on this board for sharing with the rest of us.
