Physical exam after implant

I got implanted more than a year ago and have been very happy with the outcome. About to have a routine physical exam, and I am wondering for which checks do I need to disclose to the nurses about the implant? I imagine abdominal/penile doppler ultrasound might be affected by the implant, if I do not notify the doctor conducting the test? Anything else?
Thank you!

You shouldn't have to tell them anything. The only thing affected I've run into is an MRI. That needs specific settings for some reason. Although your doc will probably see the surgery report in your medical records. And some nurses may see the bulge.

All of my doctors ask about any and all surgeries. It is dumb not to tell them. Even my dr that is doing eye lid surgery knows I have one. Tell your dentist also. working on teeth can cause an infection at the implant. EVERYONE needs to know!

I told my GP about 8 months after implant when I went in for my physical. She just asked how it’s working and I said great. She did however pass on the testical cough hernia test part. Still did digital rectal thing and other normal exam. I figured she should hear it from me even though I’m sure it showed up on my records. Also I had a tooth pulled and one of the questions was do you have any implants. When I checked yes and put penile there wasn’t a single question asked about it.

The more information your doctor has the better. If you don’t feel like you can disclose this to your current doc, consider getting one you can.

Due to the nature of my work I routinely get physical exams and i always disclose the penile implant device, no issues no shame and i have had several curios and some young doctors and nurses ask questions about it
