My experience so far going bionic- 2 week post op

43 yr old who has Ed in some form or fashion since early 20s. Some addiction struggles on & off. Pills worked for a long time but started not to. Bimix worked great but lost effectiveness and trimix hurt like a bitch. I started to develop scar tissue making the injections hard to do & sometimes wouldn't even work anymore. Boy I won't miss those fucking needles!
I was diagnosed with a arterial insufficiency & mild Peyronie's in a doppler test and decided to go bionic. That is what I was hoping for at that time because I hated the inconsistent/plan ahead/not travel friendly nature of the shots.
I was scared once it was scheduled & turned to this page which helped a lot but also added new concerns. I became obsessed up til & immediately after surgery.
Surgery went smoothly & surgeon said my scar tissue was superficial and not problematic. I was given a titan 24cm plus 1cm rte on both sides. Recovery sucked day 1 because I had a catheter in, which hurt & was just otherwise annoying as fuck. Once I removed a few hours early, it was all tolerable. Rested a few days which is hard for me as I am active but each day's gotten better.
Just had my 2 week post op early at 12 days. Dr Walsh (University of Washington) said I'm healing super fast & deflated me (I was partially inflated for last 12 days) & he inflated me to show me that the bend to the left I was a little worried about goes away. He was right & while more erect it went totally straight. Plus I had a crinkle in cylinder at the base on right side I was slightly worried about. Both were non concerns after he pumped & definitely after hearing his praise on our perfect outcome. This Dr is a stud & should have more praise on here. I only found a couple posts where he's mentioned, but in high regard.
Anyway, he cleared, in fact, encouraged me to to start cycling at 12 days! He said I can even have sex in 2 weeks which is only 4 wks since surgery! I thought both those milestones weren't until 6 wks minimum based on his pre surgery instructions & most experiences I've read on here. He also cleared me to get back into the gym lightly at first- which I've missed & typically go daily. Also said I can swim next week as we're going to AZ & it will be hot AF. I thought I would just have to watch everyone in the pool so that was amazing news too!
My whole experience has been pretty easy honestly & I'd say the what ifs or worries were as bad as or worse than the physical pain so far. I know I'm early in this being almost 2 weeks out but I'm excited for the future & my confidence has increased already. I was already confident I'd say but relying on pills then injections definitely made me feel like I was compensating or lacking in some way but I feel complete now. I am glad I made this leap & am happy to answer any questions to help anyone navigate this tough decision in an honest way. I left some stresses out like insurance denial & current appeal, paying out of pocket- 16.9k on 3 different credit cards (both wife & I) ouch, discussing with wife as it's something I didnt like to talk about, my wild addiction past, the embarrassment of trying to see a Dr about Ed in my 20s & not being believed, embarrassment of Doppler test with onlookers measuring my dick etc.
But I've even told a couple friends now which I thought would never happen initially but it's low key exciting now as I feel like I've been enhanced or improved, so it's just cool AF lol. Now I got a big flaccid shower when I was always a grower. Can't wait to pump it up. I was a little too sore after the doctor pumping and deflating yesterday, so I'm hoping to do my first session later today as it feels a little better to see where I'm at. I had a scrotal incision so testes kinda rebounded with a little swelling after his handling.
Anyway good luck to everyone & I'm happy to help in anyway. This board is awesome especially for someone like me who never talked about this with anyone and struggled to even with doctors.
