I am having the AMS700 implanted in mid Sept. I have heard some on here recommend I use a pump to prep for the surgery so the length is longer. Is that at all true or is it conjecture?

I practiced with the VED Pump when it was my ED semi-fix. I went from supplements, to pills, to VED pump, to shots, back to VED pump, before Implant. So according to my URO, the VED pump helped me maintain my size. But what did I know.....I just used the VED Pump twice daily. That was the only way to get an erection. I do think it helped me maintain size and keep blood circulating. It wont hurt. Here is the one I used https://www.amazon.com/Encore-Deluxe-Battery-Powered-Erection/dp/B000PL0ZXQ.....By Encore.....Of course, it was cheaper before COVID.

K,
5 weeks before my implant surgery, my urologist/surgeon recommended using a VED. Twice a day, 20-30 minutes each time.
The doctor's recommendation was to use the VED for 4 weeks and to NOT use the VED 1 week prior to the surgery.
DON"T get crazy with the vacuum intensity. DO NOT exceed 5" of vacuum. During each session apply the VED to your flaccid penis, 10 minutes on and 5 minutes off. Also, during the off cycle, massage the penis to help with blood flow. Tempting...don't masturbate! LOL

My Dr instructed me to use VED twice daily for 30 min ea time and to not use it the day before surgery. It turned out great for me initial size loose but regained over first year.

Adding more details why it was so helpful for Rider:
I didn't use a VED because I didn't know about them. Repeat huge doses of like 1500mg+ Viagra also works, but don't do that - just use a VED every day.

Talk about a blast from the past! Well it’s been two years and 3 month and I’ve been at just shy of 7” since the 11-12th month. I did lose a little over an inch initially but it all came back along with a little more girth than I’ve ever recorded.loving it more every day!

My surgeon gave me the OK to do this. Buy a VED (pump) with a gauge and don't overdo it! There on some studies on this, which showed some minimal gain in size, but some folks believe that "exercising" these tissues before surgery reduces the pain level afterward. In my case the pain was pretty minimal after the first few days, and I didn't even use all eight of the high powered pain killer pills they prescribed for me.

Never knew about using a pump before implant to help retain size. I did use a pump for a short time between pills and injections. Never had any luck with it. Even with a tight ring as soon as the vacuum was let off down it would go.
Anyway, I lost a good inch in length trying everything to fix my ED. After 13 years dealing with it, I finally found an answer in the implant. Wish I had done it a long time before I did.
