Hematoma questions, need help please!

Good afternoon everyone,

I had surgery last Thursday. I stayed overnight and woke up sore, nothing too wrong. As I was getting up the next day I felt something between my legs. I had a hematoma that was the size of a cantaloupe.

It’s been a week now and it’s went down in size to a soft ball but I still can’t sit down in a chair and pretty much stuck in my bed.

Questions:

How long does it take to get back to normal?

Is there any remedies or anything I should wear, such as a specialized jockstrap (I’m using a sports one right now.) to make the healing easier?

Thank you!

I had a pretty terrible hematoma, a lot of us do. It started to get better after maybe 7-9 days. It’s normal.

My best suggestion is compression shorts, one size too small! But you may be about to turn the corner anyway if you are a week out, so if you can’t get your hands on them don’t sweat it.

You are gonna be all right, man. When I had that hematoma I thought I was gonna be a swollen, bruised freak forever. But a few weeks after that (at 4 weeks) I was jacking it, and currently at nine weeks I have had multiple sexual encounters including one epic threesome. Moral of the story - better things are coming! Your hematoma will probably turn the corner in the next few days.

Congrats, and welcome to the brotherhood!

Sometimes it takes 3-4 weeks, until the hematoma resolves, nothing to worry.
If you want to sit you can use a kind of sit ring, it will allow you to sit without pain.
Cheers
