Question for ams owners

Postby Thisworld » Sat Aug 10, 2024 7:23 am

I've heard quite a bit about this—many people with AMS mention that during deflation, the AMS pump makes a buzzing noise and causes a vibration. I'm curious to learn more about this, particularly how loud the noise is. Is it noticeable enough for your partner to perceive it?

Also, do you think the new Tenacio model might have the same characteristic?

Thanks in advance!

Just got mine in June AMS LGX, I have not heard anything when pumping nor when deflating. I can feel the fluid releasing back to the reservoir when I do deflate, I have the original MS pump. When I had the Titan you could definitely hear the pump when inflating, so could the wife, here comes Donald duck, but it worked and that was all that mattered to me, deflation of the Titan felt just like the AMS does. The new tenacio pump appears to be much easier to pump than either one of the old AMS pump or the Titan.

Thanks! While we're at it, I wanted to ask if you've noticed any difference in the number of pumps needed to reach 100% inflation between the Titan and the AMS.

My AMS 700 CX is brand new (surgery 6/27, started pumping just 3 days ago). I can feel and hear the fluid leaving. I haven't been with anyone yet, but I think if i were making any kind of sound, coughing or rustling the sheets, no one else would hear it.

Yes, my wife can hear it. I can too a bit and without my hearing aids. Maybe feeling the buzz makes me think I can hear it.

As far as I can tell, my AMS is silent. But I can definitely feel the vibration while deflating. I’m glad for that sensation because it helps me know when I’m getting that last bit of fluid out when I want to be as soft as possible. But no noises (yet?) from my implant.

I could get 30 or more pumps in the Titan, so far 10-15 in the AMS, however the more you use and stretch it I think the pumps will increase.

For me, complete silence inflating or deflating. The built-in pump vibration on deflation is great, as you can feel all the fluid leaving the cylinders and if you need to for some reason you can squeeze and press and feel that last bit go back to the reservoir. I've never heard the pump make any noise.

For what it's worth, I'm 20 full pumps to the pump being too hard to compress the 21st time. My wife prefers 16 pumps for a more natural feel.

2 1/2 years with my AMX CX. No sound in mine pumping up, but do feel a very slight buzz-vibration when deflating. There is a weak hissing sound, also, that I doubt a partner would notice unless in complete silence.
