Documenting my Journey as a 30 year old Asian - Korean Surgeon

Hey everyone, happy to have found this forum which lead me to getting my surgery on Aug 13, 2024.
A short back story: since I was 18, I suffered a penile nerve injury which caused me to lose a significant amount of sensation in the penis. Other than sensation, my other functions were relatively ok as far as erections, ejaculation. I didn’t even have delayed ejaculation for some reason. But due to lack of sensation, and combined with psychological ED that stems from it, I’d say I can have sex maybe 60% of the time. This caused me to be in a shell for the past few years when it comes to entertaining new relationships because my sexual functions kept declining over the years. I stopped being able to maintain erection, and the rigidity is 75% or less. Pills worked ok sometimes but not reliable at all.
I’ve finally decided to do something about it this year.
August 13: I went to get surgery from a high volume surgeon in South Korea. He gives lectures around the world on IPP, and I’m Asian so I felt more comfortable.
This surgeon also seems to get a lot of international patients, I saw two caucasians when I was there.
Surgery: not much detail to go into here, it’s not pleasant getting prepped and poked with needles. One thing that was discovered was that I have moderate curvature. He told me he’s fixed it partially, and I’ll need to cycle and exercise it gently to correct the curvature for the next 12 weeks
Implant: Titan 21cm
Recovery: the first 48 hours was hell on earth for me. From getting patched up, to feeling the implant and incision pain, and having the doctor deflate the implant and pulling the pump, I have never screamed like that as a grown man before.
Aug 16: with pain meds, changing dressing, slow walking while feeling like you have 5 balls between your legs, trying to adjust the penis to be comfortable, trying to pee without getting dressing wet, there’s a lot to endure mentally and physically. Things are slowly getting better. I’ve been sleeping a lot which helps with healing.
Thoughts so far: I can’t think clearly whether this was worth it yet, with all the pain and the recovery process. I’m not looking forward to pulling the pump and cycling in a couple weeks, but I’m hoping the wounds heal fast so I can feel more normal. I know I’ll recover eventually, but when you’re in the middle of any sort of painful recovery, it feels like it’ll go on forever. A saving grace is that the doctor told me I have decent size, and after fixing the curvature I should have more length and girth than ever before.
I’ll update on every milestone I have. And hope we can support each other through this journey. And if anyone is willing to answer questions along the way for me, I’d really appreciate it too.
