Continued swelling under incision site
Three weeks plus two days after placement of a tactra malleable. Most side effects of surgery have resolved. However still have an area underneath incision site that continues to be swollen. Sometimes appears to be almost gone, but then returns. Ice treatment seems to help it some. In mornings less swollen, then by end of day much larger. It’s about two to three inches across, half inch wide, half inch depth. Surgeon says it’s just “healing” and will take time. Primary doctor little more concerned, but admits he has no experience with implants. He is scheduling me today for an ultrasound of the area. His concerns are; malleable misalignment, tissue induration, or less likely infection. He verbally said does not appear infected to him. So weary of this. Photos of when swollen and when less swollen attached. Anyone with similar issues or opinions?

I agree. I was reading about Total Knee Replacement (TKR), where patients receive prosthetic knee implants. Swelling and pain are expected to progressively decrease, even at the 6 month mark, by which time they are considered 90% recovered.

But just under the base of the penis? Varies in size and tenderness. Tried to attach pics, but file size too big. Here is what ultrasound found. Not real clear to me and have not heard from doctor about it.
Complex heterogeneous collection in the right inguinal canal and base of the penis which is also of uncertain etiology. This could represent postsurgical changes/edema. No drainable fluid collection.

It is not uncommon for this type of issue. You are still early in the healing process. I understand your concern. I’ve been there. Perhaps try warm baths if you are cleared to do so. I’m sure it will resolve in time. Good luck I hope you feel better soon.

You are concerned about infection. A completely understandable post-operative concern.
If you don't have these signs below, do not worry, you will be alright. Time is your healer
Infection signs (by Dr. Chen):
Redness spreading beyond the incision combined with worsening swelling and pain, and sometimes fever (defined as higher than 101°F) are consistent with infection; notify your surgeon immediately. If you notice chest pain or lightheadedness with these symptoms, call 911

It's completely normal having a swelling at incision site even for 8-10 weeks.
No worry bro, just relax!

Attached are two photos from yesterday. One is in morning after relaxing and icing, other is at end of an active day. It is painful when it’s larger. Can still feel something there even when not really swollen. I’m four weeks out.

Re: Continued swelling under incision site
I had a knot and discomfort/burning under my incision site at my 8 week follow-up. Turns out it was scar tissue. After self-massage and stretching, it resolved fairly quickly. Hopefully your issue is this simple.
