Anyone know how to fix AMS?

Ok since insurance has decided to play games and get the stupid rollercoaster of emotions going again, I'm pretty fed up. I'm thinking I'm just going to have to "fix" this on my own. I can feel both ends of the tubing that's separated, so I'm guessing numb the area, make a small incision, push the two ends out, sterilize and clean them, then flush the system with sterile saline and refill it. Figure out how to reconnect the ends ( feels like one end just "pulled out" of the connector ) push all the reconnected tubing back in and call it a day. I just have to figure out how to flush the system and how to reconnect it )I can't afford it because I already wiped out savings and maxed out all my credit cards to pay for these first two surgeries ( insurance did relent and pay the surgeries so I don't owe anymore money but I'm still out everything I already paid, and even though they reversed their denials of the procedures, it was only for those already done even though I asked for prior and this revision ) I'm just done, and it tore me up to have to answer the question my wife of 30 years asked me "does this mean we can't be intimate or have sex ever again?" I just told her I don't know, I just don't know. That if we have to wait till I'm on Medicaid that will be 7 or 8 years from now.... Sorry I just can't do that and have no other way to deal with this....

This picture shows where I believe mine has failed at. It feels like the tubing has separated at the white coupler circled in the photo as I can feel the coupler but no tubing the other side

are you suggesting that you will do this yourself?
Don't compound an issue by turning it in to a tragedy. You cannot do this safely by any means. Not only are you very likely to get an infection that could completely ruin any chance at a proper correction in a surgical suite (if you don't bleed out from an improper incision and digging around), but from what I've seen the connection you're looking to repair is initially made with a highly specialized tool designed for this particular task. You're not going to fix it with a pair of needlenose pliers from your filthy toolbox.
This is a bad idea on every level.

Dont even think about it. You could get gangrene and have to amputate your whole scrotum or atleast your dick/balls. Im really sorry about your situation and i see your desperation. But please dont do the thing you're considering because theres possibly no way back from that.

I think "on my own" means pay for it myself.
My wife and I do "do it yourself" wound repair whenever I cut myself, but that would be crazy.

So were you just unlucky to get 2 failure in so short time or do you practice any particular sport or job?
I understand your frustation, but how much you think it wuold cost for have it repaired by a real doctor without anesthesia expenses? Still too expensive ?

You are opening a can of worms that you will never be able to put the lid back on trust me ...so much can and will go back .. what you see on the videos is nothing like it will be if you go probing around .. friend got shoot many years ago .. bunch of us got together and played "DR" .. we probed and got the bullet out ..sewed it up with nylon parachute thread .. found out later we were only a 1/4 inch from a main artery ... we never "played" dr again no matter what ..

John I echo the other opinions - do not do it! Get in touch directly with your last surgeon and see if they will 'go to bat' with AMS, and alternatively contact AMS directly (describe the issue, the financial burden, etc). Insurance companies respond much better to MDs and medical device companies. Another alternative is to seek a 'cash price' from the surgeon after its determined what exactly is wrong. If a connector the repair is pretty straightforward - and you might get it done by taking a personal loan. Your option 1: DIY surgery - don't do it. Option 2: tell your wife (and yourself) know erectile sex for 7 - 8 years - really!?!?

I agree with the others. I don't think Dr Eid or Dr Levine would even try to fix their own implants (if they had them)
I know if I were in your situation I would reach out to my urologist who implanted me and see if I could finance a malleable. Then when Medicare becomes available I would re-implant an inflatable if it would be important to you to do so at that time.
If your doctor doesn't finance I would look for one who does. This is the most practical solution I can think of.
