To the guys already bionic, how long does it take before you were given the go ahead to start cycling? No know there is a difference depending on whether the doc does infrabubic or penoscrotal, I'm just having a hard time figuring out via search what that difference is.

When I consulted with Hakky, he was saying I'd be cycling in about a week after surgery. I've read a journal that said he had to wait like 6 weeks pumped at half mast before he could deflate and begin cycling. Sounds like a nightmare for me having to go back to work pumped half way and trying to hide it for that long.

What was your experience and why?

My first one with Dr Eid I started cycling on day 3. This first revision I am on week 4 now and still not supposed to cycle. It varies greatly depends on the doc though I'm not sure why

Every Dr is different and to some degree there’s differences in ea surgery. People’s anatomy is different. One guy may be skinny and the next 50# overweight. The more fat the more pressure is on the outside stitches. My Dr said I could gently start pumping at the two week mark when he removed my stitches. Said to only do a few pumps and then deflate until I was sure I had the hang of deflation then gradually build up as soon as I was comfortable. Dr never pumped me up. First two weeks I was prob 60-70% pumped. Got stitches out and he said I should wait a day or two and then start. I was 350 miles drive away and he let me start on my own the day after stitches were removed. Mine was infrapubic and he left the drain in the full two weeks as I was out of town and he normally takes drain out on day 3. It was a little irritating to have it but man it was nice to help keep the swelling down! It’s a marathon not a 100 yard dash!! Hang in there.
