Coloplast Titan implant next month. After peyronies battle.

Lost a considerable amount of length.

Is there anything I should ask my doctor before surgery for the best outcome? Anything I should do/ask to try regain length?

Anyq questions in general you wish you asked or had done.

There is quite a bit of anecdotal evidence that guys who vacuum pump for an extended period before surgery maximize their sizing.

I didn’t do that. I didn’t use a vacuum pump. I didn’t stretch. I was 2 weeks past a hernia repair. I didn’t do much of anything except get thru Christmas and worry about getting an implant. (Hernia surgery 12/17/19…..implant on 12/31/19.)

You know something? I got every bit of my length except for .06 of an inch.

If I could tell people anything prior to surgery it would be go into it as physically fit as possible. I was in the gym 6x a week up until the hernia repair….and yes it was probably gym stupidity that resulted in me needing a hernia repair. Prior to that it was 2 torn rotator cuffs and I can tell you EXACTLY what I was trying to do at age 60 that caused them.

But if you take your body into surgery and it’s healthy…a good immune system, good muscles with minimal body fat….cardiovascular system chugging along….surgery will always be less of an assault on the body.

If you’re able I would take a bit of time and do some light weight work, walk or cycle…..do things that will benefit your overall health.

Let’s be realistic. You’ve got a month. You can pump your dick or use a stretching device on it but in a month you are not going to end up with any significant change. Your doctor is going to install as much implant as he safely can…that will fit in the body cavity you already have without causing erosion.

I was implanted on New Years Eve 2019. 6 AM check in, 7 AM prep, 8 AM surgery, 9 AM recovery, 10:30 discharge. It was an hour drive from my small town to hospital. Going home I stopped for lunch at Chick-Fil-A and was zoned out on my couch after a Percocet by 1 pm.

I got up the next morning and drive myself 90 miles to pick up son who was having car trouble…he wanted to visit for New Years Day. I drove back 90 miles, too.

Day 3 drove myself an hour into Austin for first follow up/drain removal. I was told to start cycling. The swelling was pretty bad and I was scared shitless of squeezing a ball instead of the pump.

I bruised bad as shit but never had any severe pain. I returned to normal life as quick as I could. It was 6 weeks before I hit gym and I took it easy on weights when I did. I cycled and waited. The return to your original size is pretty quick at first then you get to the point where you’re within 1/2” of original specs and it slows down. Still, a year later you pull out a tailor tape to check and sure enough, you’ve got your old dick back.

Don’t borrow trouble. Some guys have a rough recovery. For every one of them there are guys like me…who heal up quickly and never give it a second thought. If there are complications along the way, deal with them. Otherwise, expect uneventful. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

I will caution you: the night before surgery there is a lot of angst and “am I doing the right thing?” The first 3 weeks there are some times “what the fuck have I done to myself?” After that it’s all rainbows and lollipops.

It depends on the doc. Clear this with your doctor first especially given your Peyronies, but absent Peyronies, there is research that pumping beforehand can help increase implant length. The gains are mostly in the first two weeks of pumping, so you still have time.

I have to agree with Donkey… pump twice daily for 30 minutes. Build pressure hold a minute or two and release build pressure hold 4-5 minutes release. For 30 minutes. Definitely can’t hurt. I was using injections and was able to get hard enough a couple times a week but still pumped for 3 months daily before implant. As others say it comes back gradually over the first 10-12 months and then one says it’s all back!

With Peyronies I'm not sure if pumping is a good thing. It may cause pain. I never pumped, actually went into the surgery blind not knowing anything except it would get me erections again. I just didn't know it would hurt so much for so long.
My advice is preparing yourself for a few days to a couple weeks on the couch. Most say ice is best to ease pain the first few days. Stock up on food, magazines, movies or other activities to keep your mind busy. My best relief was a hot bath once stitches were healed and I was allowed to sit and soak. I'm sure you'll get lots of advice here. Best of luck

Hopefully you only lost because of the curve, implant will help with that. All day stretcher and pumps like mentioned do work from my personal experience pre ed. Never tried them post ed.

Had Peyronie's ( past tense ) .... Dr. Clavell straightened it out with incisions in the plaque on the affected side. Think of putting multiple cuts on the curved side of a banana....you'd be able to straighten it out. Add to that an implant cylinder that only expands out and straight and like magic the curve is gone ( or real close to gone ). There's another surgery for Peyronie's called " Plication." This surgery slightly shortens the side opposite of the curved side . I'm guessing it depends on the severity of the curve which is best . They can also be used in tandem. As far as pre-surgery... I used both a traction device ( penimaster pro ) AND a vacuum device. I swear it not only saved my length but may have actually increased it . I would stretch out my member for hours and then use the VED to engorge my stretched out flaccid member with blood. I did this routine for maybe a year while trying to clear all the hurdles to get insurance approval for implant surgery. After 20 years of ED and 10 years without any meaningful sex or erections, my unit was embarrassingly atrophied. Resembled an acorn I joked on this forum. Now I have a 6" flaccid thanks to my 22cm titan.....7 1/2 erection with a VED assist for great glans engorgement. There's hope ahead for you my brother. I rose like a Phoenix out of the Hell that ED brought into my life .

After I posted my last comments, I started thinking.... if I have a 6" flaccid and a 7.5" erection, that means my implant would grow by an inch and half . That can't be true . So I did a bone pressed flaccid measurement ( which I don't remember ever doing ) and I was at 6.5" . My erection is just over 7.25" without the VED . So my implant expands approximately 3/4+ of an inch. Just want to be transparent and as honest as I can be with the members and brothers doing research.

Good to hear thanks ! I'm a very active person, eat a clean diet etc so hopefully I'll be in for an alright ride then. I guess if I just had ED I'd be less worried about getting my size back but cause it was Peyronies a little worried but I guess my fate is already up to the implant gods

I think pumping actually deformed my penis from not properly using it unfortunately :( I don't even have the pump anymore anyway but I willdefinitely be preparing good food movies etc to relax with!
