As the title says I had the AMS implant done exactly 3 weeks ago and was able to get back to my normal long runs. Ran 6.2 miles but at a slightly slower pace which is fine.
Honestly if it wasnt for the really sensitive tip the pain at this point is minimal.

Ah... the joys of running.
9 marathons under my belt
5-Los Angeles
2- Catalina Island
2-Chicago La Salle Banks.
Sadly my left hip tapped out and now I'm a hiking machine instead!
No regrets, but MAN do I miss those runs I would sign up for on the weekends.
I literally didn't buy shirts for 5 years because they were ALL my 5k, 10k, Half marathon and marathon
shirts I would keep at the end of my event runs. LOL!
Glad you're with us, sir.
You're pretty much allowed to do any physical activity you want just be careful will impact sports.
Best wishes.

That's pretty awesome! Is this your first surgery? who's your doc?

Really happy to hear this, Kernels. I'm debating getting an implant and not being able to run anymore is one of my biggest concerns. A while back I saw someone post that they stopped running to do discomfort. Are you doing anything special or are you able to run in your regular running shorts?

Good to read this! i am nearing my third week and cant wait to get back running. I am wondering if you are running inflated or deflated? As many people at 3 weeks havent deflated yet. Any special kind of underwear?

I'm not a runner, but due to the extremely sensitive glans, just walking around was uncomfortable for several weeks.
I found that a baby sock helped tremendously.
Good luck, and congrats on your progress.
