What the Fuck is the Deal with My Fucking Implant!?

Okay, this fucking thing has been perplexing, pissing me off since day one, and I need a theory, explanation, or whatever. I have never gotten a flat bulb or a marble. I can just keep pumping. Sometimes it feels like fluid is going through the pump, and sometimes it feels like air, in which case I have to refill the bulb by quickly tapping the release valve. The cylinders get hard--really hard--but not any harder, yet I can still pump. Where is the fucking fluid going? I got 130 pumps in it yesterday, no shit. Is it backflowing into the reservoir? Am I not getting the marble because of a leak in the cylinder? Would I notice a leak in the cylinder? Like I said, the cylinders are real hard and don't appear to be losing fluid.
I'm so fucking sick of the ambiguity. Does anyone have a clue? What the fuck!?

If it works and does the job just don't worry about it. I have the same device (21cm is the largest LGX made. The rest is RTE.) as you. Same doctor it seems also. I have the same thing with my pump. You might contact BS or if you have your paperwork with your rep's phone number. Just to get this on a report. Mine still works after over 6.5 years. Just my point of view on this. I had no way other than VED to get an erection prior to surgery. Even with the less than perfect results I have it is way better than my pre surgery ED.
Good luck.

Thank you! So, what I'm experiencing is not some kind of weird, exceptional case? You've never gotten a marble or flat pump either? It's just that, I read people describing their implants a certain way and I think, "Well, what the fuck is wrong with mine then?" I'm absolutely terrified of a break, as I don't know what you should do to preserve size between the break and the revision. VED?
I'm sorry if I sound hysterical. It's just this is all new to me and I have no idea what the fuck I'm supposed to expect. Once I familiarize myself with the thing, I'll be better I guess.
Thanks for the response.

I wonder if the reservoir doesn't have enough fluid in it?
Maybe enough to get the cylinders hard, but not enough to use all the fluid.
I wonder if the large size of the cylinders enters into the equation?

Well, maybe not unusual. But not a common problem. To be fair. I have a 21cm CX. Max is under 20 pumps. 15 pumps is really hard. The 5 pumps from 15 to 20 are actually just partial pumps. I can only guess about a potential cause. Doesn't the LGX & CX use the same pump?? I don't see how the reservoir could do what you're both experiencing.
My mind is thinking of maybe the deflate valve is just a little weak. In other words. At a certain pressure it won't hold saline in the cylinders.
Heres the downside. Since it appears to get hard enough for sex. I think its unlikely for you to get a revision. But why get a revision if sex is working ok? A catch 22 scenario. Good luck.

If it’s getting really hard then stop pumping when it feels like it’s not gaining any ground. I’ve heard that possibly some brands of pumps have a bypass valve when pressure reaches a max. I really don’t have a clue but have definitely read on here of this same issue with your pump. In time it could possibly start holding to a marble but if your penis is rock hard simply stop pumping and enjoy it.

I don't believe any of the pumps currently in use have a bypass valve, it is unnecessary because the bulb can't generate enough pressure to rupture anything, therefore not needing a bypass to protect the cylinders, pump or tubing.
When I was first implanted I too could pump forever, I also went to 75+ pumps and could keep going. I asked my Dr. if there was a bypass valve I was hitting, he said there isn't a bypass valve in my pump (AMS MS). I too had read about the marble and was wondering why I never got there, anxiety crept in.....
My doc told me to stay with it, things would resolve. Well, about a week later I decided to pump up in our 105* hot tub after having sat in it for about 30 minutes. Lo and behold, I got the marble at 20 pumps. Like a rock, I couldn't go further if I wanted to. My cylinders were stiffer than ever too. Since then, 20 pumps and I hit the marble every time.
I can only assume that something got warm enough for long enough to finally soften and seat the valve fully.
(Just for kicks, one time I hit the marble and set my scrotum and pump up on my stone bathroom countertop and pushed down on it as hard as my thumb would let me, to see if I could get even a little bit more in.... nope, literally hard as a rock.)

I have had a marble just very, very few. Same with a flat bulb. Folks used to call it a quirky pump. Most have it early and it resolves itself as the pump wears in. Mine did not wear in. My cylinders get rock hard and if they stretch my tissue it will transfer more fluid to the cylinders. I agree to stop pumping when the cylinders are not increasing in size. These will eventually wear out and it is one thing to use them. But another to just keep pumping for no reason or results.
Other than what I have posted and contacting your rep to get this on record the only other thing I can think of is to try to use heat and see if that helps. But again as long as it works then no worries.

It's been a little over 2 years since my implant and suddenly I am having the same problem. It started doing this last Friday. Before then, I could get 65 pumps then the bulb would indent whereby I could not pump any further. And the bulb would not fill unless I pressed the release valve. And I would have a rock hard erection.
Overnight, this has changed. It pumps indefinitely but the bulb constantly refills and never dimples. Once it max out I don't need to press the release valve to pump further because the bulb refills with water without pressing the release valve. This never happened before. Also, my erection is no longer hard; it is bending and soft-like. When I had sex this weekend it bends and folds at times during penetration. Also, I have lost a little over an inch of girth when I pump to what is now the new max. Again this is sudden.
My Doc is saying that this is normal. This I can't square. He said I have three options: 1. Remove the implant and put nothing back in it's place; 2. Learn to accept the current results; or 3. Get a revision but understand that the risk of infection is higher.
This change is sudden. I don't buy the premise that the change in size and firmness is a result of wear and tear. Not in this particular case because if it were normal wear and tear, I think the change would be gradual over time? Maybe wear and tear can have discrete properties that are not continuous and over time like a roof caving in. If so, why wasn't this discussed with me early on?
Should I have expected this result? I don't think so not with the information given to me. I feel like I'm constantly blindsided with a brand new level of normal and expectations that seem to constantly shift.

There is definitely a problem if you have to pump that much. For cylinders they size you have, you should be able to fill them with around 26 squeezes of the bulb. Once the cylinders fill up it will not allow you to pump anymore into them. The bulb gets real hard and that is it, no more. Obviously it sounds to me that the pump is failing. But if it is still pumping to where you have a rock hard errection with lets say 26 squeezes, then stop, why would you want to keep pumping more? But I honestly think that the MS pump is a terrible designed pump and they will stick if you deflate all the way. So the best thing is to deflate just some to where your penis will still feel normal, kind of a semi errection will not hurt you.
