Does anyone know if the Tenacio pump is less buggy/glitchy than the MS pump?

Thanks.

It see it was FDA approved in November 2023, so it has very little real-world track record. Only time will tell, even if it may look promising in theory or in bench tests - much like the first year model of a car brand, the bugs will come out gradually and incremental improvements can be made by the manufacturer.

That's true. In the press release, they state that it's less susceptible to mechanical failure on account of a two-valve system, supposedly superior to the single valve system of the MS pump.

That’s great. It’s good to see such incremental improvements in design rather than a complete overhaul, which could introduce multiple blind spots in the first few iterations until it gets perfected.

what's the supposed benefit of it?

From their brochure:

Independent Valving System
The TENACIO Pump introduces independent valve systems, which are thoughtfully engineered to maximize reliability across a wide user profile and to address potential causes of sticky pump.

• Independent valving enables pump activation regardless of fast or slow squeeze rates.¹
• Direct fluid pathways designed to enable efficient inflation. In bench testing conducted by BSC (n=5), the TENACIO pump was found to have a 27% faster refill rate as compared to the MS Pump™.*¹
• Independent valve functions designed to limit mechanical failure.¹
• Valve design intended to reduce oscillation and increase tactile feedback.¹
• Dedicated anti-auto inflate valve designed to prevent unexpected inflation.¹

Very nice. I hope it delivers on all those promises
