Hi all,
Edit: disregard… it is actually fluid build up. There might be an infection but my doc is not sure. Hopefully it will resolve on its own
******************************
I am 2 weeks out of surgery and had a strange bulging on the upper right side of my pubis. Had a lot of pain and initially thought it was fluid, but my doc now thinks the reservoir may have migrated. Note that I had a bilateral hernia repair, but it’s a bit hard to the touch so I think it’s some kind of component. I just did a ct scan, so we will find out. Did this happen to any of you? Is it difficult to fix? And how long would have have to wait?
Thanks!

Re: Reservoir migration
Keep us posted on how this goes. I am also 2 weeks post op like you, and also had inguinal hernia repair (laparoscopic).
Whas your repair laparoscopic too? What model/size implant do you have and which doctor?

Re: Reservoir migration
Yes I had a laparoscopic hernia repair (bilateral)
My Doc is a bit puzzled but he said he may need to take the implant out.
I have a lot of swelling and pain in the shaft and pubis (which is coming from the reservoir placement).
Also temperature wise I have no fever at night or in the morning, but my temperature systematically raises to low grade fever like 99.5f in the late afternoon/ evening). Also the pain is worth in the evening.
I will see my doc again on Monday.

He is high volume implanter, but I prefer not to disclose his name. I trust him in any case. He is been very responsive and following up closely.
And thanks for the good energies , much needed!
Good luck with your recovery
