Oval Shape and Corpus Spongiosum Engorgement

Postby lionsmane » Fri Nov 01, 2024 2:00 pm

So I’m about 8 weeks out from surgery now. The shape of the shaft is still very oval, and haven’t yet recovered about 0.25” girth. What I think is happening is that the corpus spongiosum is not engorging anymore, resulting in slight girth loss. Can I expect this to loosen up over time and become engorged again? I hear this can take 3-12 months for a noticeable improvement. What are your experiences?

I do have a very small amount of engorgement when stimulated to the point of an old erection. If just cycling, I have no engorgement. Most noticeable for me is my glans. Some will use oral ED meds to help out. Some even a trimix gel or muse. Nothing worked for me except a VED before surgery. Best I would get is a bit of plumping with pills or injections. That is what I kind of get now and will even get this with nocturnal erections. It has improved over the years a very small bit. But this is not really significant. Just enough to be noticeable. It will mostly depend on what your response was pre op to shots or oral meds. Or even if you were getting an occasional erection.

Did you recover some girth after the operation?

I don't see where he posted losing girth or even what his pre surgery girth was.

Size is always a delicate topic. This is coming from a man that never measured himself. Length seems about right. Based on how my hand wraps around my pumped penis. There isn't any missing girth that I can tell. If any is missing? Its so small of an amount it not measurable.

My signature info gives my stats.

You can ask your doctor to prescribe you low dosage of cialis and see if your engorgement improves. Engaging in extended foreplay will help as well.
If you did not have any engorgement before the surgery, then it will not change.

It's going to take time. 8 weeks is still very early in recovery time. Full complete healing takes a year they say, however most of that happens in the first few months. The cylinders should round out some once you begin using it. Took me close to 6 months to get glans engorgement back.

Thats a thing that the new guys don’t always understand right off.
Pumping your dick up gives you a hard on its hard enough for penetration sex. Engorging comes from your head, are you turned on, are you excited to be engaging in sexual matters? Engorging is a entirely different thing, some times men have to have cancer surgery that interferes with natural engorging function.
. Thats a different problem.

The corpus spongiosum does engorge too with a natural erection, less so with an implant. My glans engorgement is fine with stimulation.
