Implant to get back "life energy"?

It is so difficult to decide for or against an implant.
To keep it short: ED due to nerve damage for alomst 10 years now (I am 49); 5mg Cialis gives me decent erections at night, more and more often I have to add another 2.5 mg to achieve that. But that's OK.
To have brief sex with my wife, this dose is sometimes enough; if I want a reasonably reliable erection, I need in addition 75 mg, better 100 mg Viagra. Funnily enough, Spedra and Vardenafil don't work at all.
So: It works, but I no longer have the spontaneous, dominant sex I used to have, especially not with affairs. I have so much performance anxiety that I'd better stay at home.
I'm also less self-confident than I used to be, my “drive” or “life energy” is gone.
I wonder if an implant could give me that back. Or wouldnt the feeling change?
