ENLARGED PROSTATE AFTER IPP SURGERY

HI Guys,
I had IPP surgery 2 1/2 years ago and had a difficult recovery. Stinging pain for about 1 1 1/2 years. I had been doing well for the past year when I had a high PSA and then had an MRI of my prostate. No cancer thank G-D!! But, about one month ago the stinging returned. I went to my urologist who states my enlarged prostate is causing my stinging and not the implant. I don't have normal enlarged prostate symptoms such as waking up at night to pee- I never wake up at night- I don't have urgency. I sometimes strain and have little volume while peeing but not what most men complain of about BPH. Anyone have these symptoms? Culture shows no UTI. Doctor prescribed medication which seemed to help the stinging by the 2nd day but gave me the worst headache and stuffiness like a sinus infection. Did anyone develop an enlarged prostate after implant surgery? I did not have this prior to surgery. I don't sting at night- mostly during the day as the day progresses and after peeing a few times. Any insights or individual stories might make this easier to understand. I don't want to live with the sting forever.

Thanks for any replies.

Hello,
there is no correlation between the implant or surgery to enlarged prostate.
Your Doc should exclude cancer and hypertrophic prostate, there is also a marker to be estimated in the blood, PSA (prostate specific antibody), tha is very specific to diseases of prostate.

Cheers
Dan

I am just planning an implantation operation, but this burning has been with me for many years and it is only increasing. The prostate is slightly enlarged, but not much, sometimes it is inflamed, sometimes not. Sometimes they find some bacteria, sometimes not. I have been treated in all sorts of ways, but nothing has given a 100% effect. I have varicose veins of the pelvis, due to which I developed venous leakage. It is possible that this burning is from varicose veins around the prostate. Also, due to this, I have premature ejaculation
