measuring

Postby happycamper59 » Sun Nov 24, 2024 12:26 pm

I am nearly 6-months post-op. I measured each of the month marks and wasn't seeing much gain. I was 6 3/4 length pre-op, and measured just over 5 inches post-op.

Well, of course that is bone-pressed from the top, right? And the reservoir and tubing is right there smack-dab in the middle.

So I go the idea to measure bone-pressed on either side of the middle, but still from the top. Voila! I was 6 1/4 yesterday! :D

- Is that legitimate and correct? It's the best I can do from the top, with the IPP equipment in the way in the middle. So, then, I have just 1/2 inch to go to get back to where I was, with the consensus 12-month mark and 6 months of cycling to get there.
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

happycamer, most likely your 21 CX is too short to make you reach your pre op length.

the people here that are close to 7 inches have an implant length of about 23-24cm usually. Who was your doctor?
LGX 18 + 1, 90 cc. 2023/12
Pre-OP VED length: 5.5". Post-OP: 4". At 3 months post-op: 5".
Cycling with a lot of pain for the first 5 months, now improving
If you have a motorcycle or a bike stop using it (ED with motorcycle accident).

Happycamper, hello!
Based on your measurements, you have a short stem. If the traditional proportions of 2/3 distal, 1/3 proximal are achieved, you should have a 24cm or 21+rte implant. But different people have different anatomies. You currently have a very good length for a CX without RTE. Please tell me what your girth was before implantation and what it is now? Who is your surgeon?
37 years old. In the past, an active and very athletic guy, suffered after vein ligation. After that, I tried embolization, which did not help. Now I am choosing between CX and Titan

In my unprofessional opinion I feel your implant might be a bit short. Based on Dr Clavell's actual surgery videos, it seems most people have between a 9cm to 11cm proximal length. Adding that up to your distal length minus about 2cm from the tip of the glans, a couple more cms might have been better for your case.
30 y/o. 10+ years of ED. Implanted Titan 20 cm + 1cm RTE 8/13/2024.

I am unsure of how much of the cavity is inside and outside. I was quite clear before surgery that I didn't want to lose any length, if possible. However, I trust the doc and the BS rep who was there that they sized it appropriately. I would guess I don't have as much "inside" as the average.

I would rather have a fully functioning woody with no issues than a long boner that otherwise gives me problems! And all signs point to the former, so that's good.

That being said, I believe I am on the path to coming close to my pre-op length and girth. My pre-op erect length was 6 3/4 and girth was just short of 6. As I said, my measurement this week from the top, but not the middle because of the reservoir and tubing, is about 6 1/4 length and about 5 1/2 girth. I noticeably see difference from my earlier measurements, so I'm happy that cycling is making a difference. And let's be honest; if I get to 6 1/2, is it really noticeable from 6 3/4? I don't think so.

I don't want to say who did it, as I am very happy with my uro and don't want to imply any negativity here or blow my cover. :? Although he is not one of the big names, he is a respected and experienced uro.
