After almost 10 years of progressive ED, I have now decided to finally take the step towards an implant. 5mg Cialis gives me reasonable nocturnal erections, but what good is that if even 100mg Viagra is no longer reliable? Everything is getting weaker, I can feel it.

To my question, which is a well-known one: Titan or AMS 700?

My thoughts: I am a swimmer, the titanium in a tight swimming pants is rather difficult to conceal.
On the other hand, the width of the penis is more important to me (and to women), and this is where the Titan wins because it is simply wider in diameter. Or..?

The Titan is also known to be firmer, which is probably better when it comes to harder sex or anal sex.

Have I already given myself the answer in the direction of Titan, or what do you think about these considerations?

The Titan will not give you more girth than the CX. The implant only expands as much as your tunica albuginea allows. That’s the theory at least. So unless you have a beer can type of penis, you won’t lose size with any of those implants.

Regarding hardness, my urologist’s advice is to avoid the LGX as it does not provide enough axial rigidity. Meanwhile, the Titan is indeed marginally harder than the CX, but this should have no impact on your sex life because the rigidity provided by both implants is way enough for sex. The difference will mostly boil down to your flaccid state, as the Titan is notoriously known for being less natural-looking than AMS products. This is the main reason why I am opting for the CX when I get implanted next week.

I have had both a Titan and AMS LGX, my wife and I both prefer the AMS over the Titan so far.. also about the rigidity, I cannot feel any difference as the AMS can get just as hard as the Titan, what I do NOT have with the AMS is the Squeaky pump (yet), Dog ears (yet) or a penis that does not look flaccid when deflated. Do not get me wrong the Titan was great when it worked and if that is all that was on the market than I would of went back with another Titan. Talk to a few urologist/surgeons, I do know that with Peyronies and how bad it could be that they recomend the Titan as it will try to straighten your penis out, told to me by my first implant surgeon. I did not lose any length or girth with the LGX.

The CX can correct curves/bends. Might take a little longer time but many men report that it does just fine.

The reality is both companies make an implant model that will treat peyronies. That is too big of a market segment for them to ignore.

Titan does better for Peyronies and curvature. If you get AMS, make sure it’s a CX. I got Titan because Dr Clavell, Eid, Perito, and Hakkey specifically recommended it for younger guys (especially with Peyronies curvature). Eid says the Titan cylinders are indestructible.

I actually like being a shower now with Titan flaccid. I prefer it than my natural small limp flaccid. Dr Clavell showed me how to eliminate dog ears. It used to be very pronounced until he showed me how to correct. Now it’s unnoticeable

All the facts I know: the AMS 700 LGX has what seems to be a maximum girth of 5.5". I base this off my own experience and that of several others with similar problems.

Answer: if your girth is currently over 5.5", you might not want an AMS 700 LGX because it will probably make it stay at 5.5" after. If that is important to you, consider other options.

But if your girth is smaller than 5.5" and you want more length the AMS model is a good choice, for these reasons.



I know people hate advertisements but sometimes other studies support it plus anecdotal experiences from people like me who got the exact same results they stated.

All you gotta do, use VEDs months before implant to recover any losses caused by ED/aging to get it back to its best natural size, just like you were as a horny 22 year old boy. That helps the surgeon fit you with the best option.

After the surgery follow your doctor's advice and when it's activated and ready for you to start cycling, it's encouraged to cycle frequently and still use the VED about 30 minutes a day. There's other exercises too like Perito's THE exercise, so look around if you're interested in doing more.

Results: If you want to gain 1cm, 2cm, or 3cm in length, AMS is a good choice. It was a 2cm increase for me.

If you want to gain girth and are smaller than 5.5", a 2cm increase mentioned in study seems about right. It doesn't apply to me and I don't remember what's been said, but I'm hoping people can share their experiences. This counts as real data for people to know.

Also I was thinking, there's no proof of this on AI/google because Boston Scientific has zero reason to want this info released.

So, I'm proof now, unless anyone disagrees and can explain it.

I didn't have a choice. My surgeon chose the Titan, and I'm happy with the results. He is the professional, so I figured it was a good idea to go with his expertise.

On another topic, I see your ED is a result of nerve damage. So is mine. Not too many guys seem to have nerve damage as a cause of their ED.

And as far as you looking for a miracle cure, I'll again refer to my doctor's expertise. When I first met with him, and he introduced the implant as a treatment option, he shared statistics with me. He gave me the satisfaction rates of men and their partners for implants versus pills, injections, and pumps. The implant had far higher satisfaction rates than any of the others. So, the implant may be the best choice for you, too.

Yes, it probably would be. It worked for me, but still talk to your Surgeon, alot of good answers on here.

I had a Titan implanted by Dr. Clavell. It'll be 2 years in April. I'm satisfied with the Titan but when revision time comes , I'm switching to AMS . The reason is the flaccid state is more important to me than I thought it would. The slight rigidity difference is negligible. In fact the wife complains my dick is too hard and uncomfortable at 100% and I have to dial it back. Girth differences, again not a factor. The AMS is just slightly narrower. If Girth is a concern, you can enhance it with fillers . So what's left....flaccid state and according to all I've read and videos ive watched , AMS wins this easily. Someone described the flaccid state of a Titan feeling like 2 bent straws in your dick. I laughed at that comparison and thought he's right. The dog ears you can negate by pumping the implant up a little but underneath it feels unnatural. The goal of an implant is for men to regain their sex life but the other 95% of the time it's just tucked away . That's when you'll want the more natural feeling flaccid of the AMS .
