Note I had booked a consult on October 23rd but it got cancelled because I didn't fill out the right forms, despite never getting any info on their location. So make sure of that.
My insurance is covering this one, but I doubt that applies related to self pay because approval seemed easy despite me having a new health insurance plan that isn't even active until Jan 1st.
I see you had an implant surgery just three years ago. Why do you already need a revision?
And, if you're referring to me I don't need anything. My uncle passed away earlier this year and I got a more fortunate inheritance than I expected. I consulted with Hakky because of his recommendations here and specifically that Aussie guy for Hakky's version of the tunica expansion procedure (TEP). My idea was I'll be having both procedures together but it was his reasoning it's a pretty big difference with recovery and infection risks, plus the expected results of the procedure are better if I wait 6 months after for TEP.
Reasons why are I lost girth with AMS 700 LGX and I want it back. And I can afford it, so I'm taking it. Though I am surprised my current Aetna plan that ends Dec. 31 covers the implant surgery, and so does my new Jan. 1st plan with UnitedHealthcare. $300 initial pay to Hakky, then about $300 more for what insurance won't cover. So not to bad for an implant surgery from him.
Both are Medicare Advantage plans I get because of disability, which I think is about the same as regular Medicare for seniors, so if you get that your insurance should take care of most things (correct me if I'm wrong), except flights to Atlanta and hotel fees!
