Too Much Time to Think

Warning: too much thinking ahead
I asked my surgeon if I was getting the new Tenacio or the MS pump. Doc says he's not sure--the hospital is "reviewing" and he's not convinced the Tenacio is "much better." He's got experience with the Tenacio because he was part of an early release. He says either one is a "great pump!"--exclamation point is his. I know that he knows his shit and that there's tens of thousands of happy guys out there with the MS, but it feels somewhat disappointing. Like being offered a hamburger when you want a steak.
Pain and no jerking off for weeks. A small-but-real chance of complications. A potential for opportunities I've never really had.
But I'm worried about a fucking pump that wasn't available a few months ago when I started considering this
Anyhow, thanks for reading--seeing the good outcomes here keeps me hopeful.

Heh - I feel your pain. I did a ton of reading --- tooo much. When it came down to it I had a talk about my needs / wants with the doc and went with his recomendations based on that.
If you can't get what you want with your surgeon - you could always try to find another - but...it can take time. Remember - doctors tend to know what they are doing (most of the time) and if your doctor is experienced I'd trust that experience. If it were me. Totally up to you.

Ya. I've actually talked to three. Two were "high volume" guys that would require travel, which worried me for a number of reasons.
I think my guy is the best in my large metro area. I've talked to him and he's agreed to a key request--I don't want a plication for the curvature. I wish he were more transparent and more forthcoming with information but that's a lot of doctors I've dealt with.

As I have found out after 3 surgeries in 12 months there is a lot of smoke and mirrors from the surgeons for sure ..

Hi, don't worry so much about the pump, it is a model that is long time on the market and well functioning, it just needs some time to learn and get used to "how do I pump best" (

New releases always have some problems and one should wait until those "new model" dysfunctions are resolved.
Good "Hamburgers" are nearly always better than new kind of "steaks".
Get you implant as soon as possible and don't worry about the pump.

I concur, I wanted the new Tenacio pump for my newly installed CX, but it is not yet available in France (though it is authorized). So I received the MS, which my surgeon told me is a very fine choice, in part because it has been tested over and over by thousands of patients across the world. It is a safer choice according to him. And depending on one’s age, as a revision becomes needed, one can always opt for the Tenacio once it’s been through years of trial and error with all the fine-tuning that this entail to improve its functioning.

Quit all the thinking, it won't fix anything and only make you worry more.
When I had my implant I had not found FT yet. I did very little research about implants. It was my first surgery as an adult at 68 years old. That fact alone was scary enough to keep me on edge. Not knowing a lot about implants (like I know now) was probably a good thing. Still wish I had done the implant before years of taking pills and sticking a needle in my penis.

Yes, try to stop worrying. Make the decision and get'r done. In a few months post-op, and ever after, you will be so happy that you did.
I know I am so very glad I got it done. The ED is in the rearview mirror.
