Please be prepared. Lots of IPP drs won't use the 21cm LGX. They go to the CX. I'm happy with my CX. Final length is 2cm longer than my stretched measurement. I have a 6" girth which basically matches my pre ED girth. When younger, I only measured length a time or two. I didn't do the bone pressed or use a rigid ruler. Best that I can tell. I'm at or very close to my pre ED length. One dog ear that only hurt for a few days if I rubbed it. Now, if I find it & start pushing it in it'll start to bother me a little.
FWIW, my dr is well connected with Boston Scientific. He told me that the CX does stretch. Just not as much as the LGX. They don't advertise it but he said its around 3%. So that might make you feel a little better about the CX. Good luck.
I plan on bringing the surgical notes from both surgeries with me. I also have a 6 to 6.5 inch girth, I think my length is 7.5 to 8 inches - not 100% on that though as I've never done a bone pressed measurement. I knew the CX would stretch very very little and swelled pretty good in girth, and yes my second one when it worked got very very rigid, rock hard or hard enough to drive nails as my dad would say. I'm not so worried about how hard it gets as I really don't want to loose any length or girth from it not being usable for almost a year now. I've never had or felt any dog ears with my CX. But I do plan on listening to him but will be standing firm on the AMS 700 - esp since Boston is replacing it under warranty.
