Hi to everyone..i am 36 years old..i watch most discussions at this forum...my question is for those who dont have a healthy problem and pills and injections sometimes work ..it os better stay this way and try untill the end or going immediately for an implant...

if the average dose of pde-5 helps you, then I think you need to continue taking the pills. I'm sure you've tried courses of tadalafil 5 mg daily and adding a dose on demand before intercourse. The main thing is not to agree to vein surgery, otherwise the pills will stop working properly

All surgery involves risk. If you’re achieving satisfactory results with pills or injections, I’d recommend sticking with what works. Moreover, most medical insurers will only cover an implant if all other methods have failed. But, if other methods fail to work for you, it’s good to know that the success rate for implants is very high!

Thanks a lot for your answers.The problem is that pills dont work every time and i cant afford injections..it is true the insurance will not cover me but i cant stay in this way every time i have sex... I prefer a more stample solution like implants

As someone who has been told my problem was psychological all my life, to then find out at 40 that it wasn’t, I can only recommend you to do all the tests including the Doppler – your problem might not be a psychological as you think. If you are fit, maximally aroused and in the moment, even with a physical problem for a short while it might work and then stop working, that’s what happened to me.

Hi there here are my 2 cents.

ED has 2 components, one is physical and one psychological, and both sides of that reality evolve with time and usually they don’t evolve to get better, my advise to you is when ever you feel you are loosing out of, or walking away or ignoring good opportunities for sex because of fear, because you were not ready, it’s time to get an implant.

If you are in a long term relationship you can stretch the time you use the pills and injections, that was my case until I decided to divorce at 55 and I was not going to be carrying around injections, they did still work and worked good, but the logistics of carrying around injections for me was a no go I am a semi retired boat captain who travels a lot so time for an implant and i am very happy.

have a venous leak in the deep dorsal vein!!
My urologist has recommended that I close it, but I have read that it does not work!!
I tried Caverject 10mcg and it caused me priapism and they had to drain me.
My urologist says that I am sensitive to alprotasdil and I am not a candidate for injections!
I have tried the ring but it does not work because my leak is deep.
I think I will try to close the deep vein, but I do not know the risks of surgery?

you can read how I had my deep dorsal vein ligated, after which my life was completely destroyed and I came to this forum. Now I need an implant and reconstructive surgery. Look in my first posts. My advice - do not touch the penile veins!

So the solution if psychological problem cant solve with pills injections etc is like you have a serious problem with your penis health...amd the finall solution is an implant...also there are men with together those problems because of you have for example blood problem with penis you get also psychological problem later

You answered your own question...
Pills aren't working and you don't want injections; so you want an implant. Just be prepared for a year long rehab that isn't reversible.

I agree with everyone here- find the problem first before going to surgery. Counseling could be helpful and much cheaper if it works.
