Hello i am new to this forum and i have question
Anytime soon, i am planning to get inflatable penile implant.
Question is how they long they last? I saw statistical numbers, but i cant find people online using it so long time?
I see how many people are getting revisions under 3 years, i think for such sensible and very mentaly painful operation 3 years are so little time.
And i am asking to some members here, How long you have it? When revision happend?

Do a good mallabble ..less risk of infection and chances of it lasting longer than an inflatable is much better .

I understand, but why so many doctors are against to implant it younger patients? Why they are saying that they are huge chance of erosion?

Sometimes it is difficult to inflate it and I have to deflate it a little and re-inflate it, other times I press the pump and it doesn't inflate or the pump is very hard and I can't press it. I assume the valve system is damaged. I've had these problems for a few months now. I'll see the doctor in a couple of weeks, because the day it stops working I want to have everything planned for the implant change.

Every morning when I take a shower I inflate the prosthesis and then when I need it. I was young when I got it, so I've used it a lot, except for the first year when I was sad.

I've had mine for 3 years now and no problems. I talked to one of the Boston Scientific patient champions (they talk to folks who are thinking about an implant) he had his first AMS 700 LGX for 14 years before he got his second revision.
If mine broke, I'd definitely look at the malleable (MPP) as far as a replacement. No tubes, no reservoir, no pump, just bend it up and away you go. You can read some of theDriver post and you'll get a better idea about his journey.
Tell us a little bit more about you, so we can answer questions better.
