pump question. what does it feel like?

Hello, I would say I've about 95% given up, on the hope of fixing my ED through all the less invasive treatments known. I believe the only choice I have left is getting an implant but it scares the hell out of me. I've gotten so much great info on this site. One thing that I've looked for but haven't completely seen answered is, how does the pump feel like in the scrotum after completely being healed? Does it always feel like you have something there. Are you always aware of it? When your sitting for example, do you sometimes have to shift because it's uncomfortable. Is the pump down low at the lowest point of the balls or is it up higher? While a sex partners might not notice the tubes in the penis, is the pump easily detectable if she handles the scrotum? I think I would rather not reveal I've done anything. The pump looks so big in pictures I have seen. Any help with these questions would be appreciated.

I don't even notice it. Even right after surgery other than my scrotum being swollen I didn't notice it. Today I only notice when I reach down there, it just feels like you have a third one, but to me it's not noticed in my daily activities. If your partner handles your scrotum they will notice the extra "boy" down there.

I Just got my implant on the 9th of December.

I know there is a pump there, and if I go searching for it, I can feel it, but for the most part, I don't notice it - UNLESS I'm fiddling with my sack. Granted, it is big enough to warrant bassicly getting a third, albiet smaller, testicle - so there is something in there and it can make your sack appear more full.

Your testes are not THAT sensitive - i.e. like your fingers. The SKIN is - but not the insides.

You CAN notice it - if you are looking for it - but at first glance, and unless someone is staring - you won't be able to tell its there.

If injections don't work, and other options aren't working either, then it may be time. It sucks I got cancer and had to go through what I did - and I did lose size (cancer - not implant - a small amount there - but I should be able to get that back) - but hey - if this gets me back in the saddle I'll be plenty happy.

Mine is in front and I think it would be fairly noticeable but I like it there. Once in a while the edge of the block feels like it wants to poke through and I have to pull some slack in my pants crotch and that fixes it. That is rare and otherwise I don't notice it's there. Looks like the new AMS pump improves on that. I was told by two different urologist that I have small testicles.

This is encouraging, would like to read more comments. Do the high volume surgeons like Hakky/Clavell get the pump position right? I think behind the balls and at the same level would be preferable. If it’s in the front or hangs lower, it would be noticeable.

I was implanted 5 weeks ago by Dr. Clavell.

Pretty much completely healed except for two dissolvable stitches on my scrotum, but the incision is completely closed and I am pain free.

As for my pump, MS, it is behind my testicles and at an angle for me being left hand dominate. At first I could feel it all the time and if I stood for too long it would feel like a bee sting where it was touching my sack.

Fast forward to now and there is no pain and I can sit and stand without issue. If it feels uncomfortable, I can just reach down and move the pump in my sack and be good to go.

Don't notice my Genesis at all. Placed behind my testicles and slightly lower to the rear. Entirely hidden from view and not even noticeable if I "cup" and lift the entire scrotum. However, it is extremely easy to operate with absolutely no discomfort.

The fact that I had to think about the pump for a minute tells me I'm not aware of it.

When I'm inflated, it's fairly easy to tell there's something extra in my ball sack. But I'm married, and my wife went through the implant process with me, so hiding it isn't a concern for me.

What I am still regularly aware of are the cylinders in my dick. Deflated, they much firmer than a flaccid natural dick. So, I often have to alter how I bend over or squat to be comfortable.

On the plus side, since the cylinders don't get much smaller when I'm deflated as opposed to inflated, I now have a noticeable lump in my pants that I didn't have before my implant. Even though I'm not trying to pick up women, it's an ego boost to have a more obvious package that I know I can use.

Feeling scared is totally normal. But I hope you'll not allow that to dictate your decision. If you really want to fix your ED, don't let fear stop you. But DO get all the information you can in advance. Be fully informed and prepared before you decide. Let your urologist know your concerns. Any decent doctor will readily engage in honest, uncensored conversation about the reality of post-op implant recovery. I'm nine months post-op, and I am incredibly(!) satisfied with my implant. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Admittedly, the recovery was rough! But the body heals over time and the implant becomes part of your new normal.

Every man's body is different, and that changes how/where the pump resides in the scrotum. For many guys, it's not visibly noticeable and resides behind & below the testicles. Of course, if you have a small/tight scrotum, it may be different for you. But month after month, the pump feels more & more normal, until you just kinda forget it's there. Early on, I did a lot of adjusting of my boy-parts because of the pump. But that's greatly improved over time. Yes, any sex partner who is fondling your balls will almost certainly feel the pump. But so what?!? Be honest and tell them. Anyone who truly cares for you isn't going to judge, especially if you're honest with them upfront. Being a member of the Bionic Boys Club means you can go as long as you want. It's like a sexual superpower! For many potential partners, male or female, that's an ability they will eagerly welcome.

And, again, it's really OK to be scared. Fear is a normal emotion. Just don't let it stop you. When you choose to walk through your fear, you find freedom on the other side.

Being fearful is and was perfectly normal. It's just not natural to not fear someone cutting or operating down there. With me being married, my UROs, I have two, both of my UROs and my wife's girlie doctor all had several counseling sessions. All parties had to understand all pros, cons, and differences. With all these counseling sessions, we discussed every aspect of these new tool. What to expect, what not to expect, what we could and not do. This counseling was a true blessing. And of course, they all answered our 50 or 60 questions. So to say, we both were prepared in every way for the future tool. I encourage everyone getting an Implant.....Get ALL your answers and clear up ALL your questions before, rather than after.....For if not, you will wake up and say, WHAT HAPPENED? Why is it this way? Oh by the way....You will not even notice the pump is there, unless you feel for it. Now this only applies after hearing.
