Lack of Direction from Surgeon's Office

TL;DR version: should I be using Hibiclens?
EDIT TO ADD: I don't want to impugn the doctor, who might simply not have had a chance to get back to me. I'm just anxious. Very, very anxious!
About two weeks out and other than an appointment with an NP to go over which of my ongoing meds to take/not take and a sheet about when I will get the call about scheduling, I haven't gotten much from the doctor's office.
I know some practices send out (or put on the Internet) lists of do's-and-don'ts about getting ready and aftercare. When I inquired with the office before Christmas I was told I'd get post-op instructions . . . post-op. They said they'd check with the doctor if there was anything else. I'm going to wait until after New Years to follow up.
I don't want to be a pest, but I live alone and the thought of getting stuff after the fact makes me nervous, and I'm already under the gun wrapping up work to take off.
And . . . I bought a bottle of Hibiclens just in case that's something I should do

I totally get how you feel, when j get it done, I’ll be alone too and would like to take a many precautions as possible. Do you mind me asking who is your doctor?

If you'd like (and I can figure it out) I'll send a DM. I feel shabby enough bitching about him without mentioning his name.

I was told to use Hibiclens three days before the surgery and also the morning of the surgery…

Hibiclens 2 days out for me. I received first class attention before/during/after my implanting with Perito. I guess that each dr's office will always be different. I had Perito's phone number which I used a lot during some scary and painful times and he always promptly responded.

Every surgery I have had requires Hibiclens showering at least night before and morning of surgery. Also, all clean undergarments and PJs ( if u wear). I have had two implant surgeries and most recent started Hibiclens 3 days prior. Also wanted clean bed sheets night before too. I totally complied to greatly minimize infection possibility.

If I recall correctly, I was advised to wash with hibiclens 2 days prior to surgery and then just use regular soap after surgery. Apparently, hibiclens can irritate your skin if used too much and can irritate the incision after surgery. I remember asking if there was any specific soap to use, the doc said whatever the hotel provided was fine.
