Has anyone experienced a defective cylinder (small hole)? What were the symptoms and how long until implant stopped working? How urgent was the replacement?

I would imagine that with some saline escaping every time you inflate, it wouldn't be long before it would fail to inflate.

Sorry to hear about your problem with the cylinders. This a serious issue, as these cylinders are made to last over 15 years without issues. Having a hole in the cylinder is something that you have to talk with your surgeon, as maybe a needle pinched it.
What if it is loose tubing? I can see from your previous posts that you couldn't reach 100% stiffness with pumping. Saline being drained out of the system could be the cause. The cause should be figured out before any action can be taken.

I've heard some members post about pinhole leaks. If you have an actual hole in a cylinder? Since its under pressure, your saline will be gone quickly. If its in the pump then failure time can vary. If it just flows back into the reservoir then you'll just slowly go flacid. If it escapes into your scrotum while pumping. You'll run out of saline. We did have a member who's pump only leaked as he pumped. He left his implant pumped up to preserve his saline until he could get a replacement.
The urgency to have it replaced is up to you. No one will care but you. If you're willing to be impotent then replacement is not required.
