I think I need an AUS. I am just starting to look into it. My implant is now about 12 yrs old and I am very comfortable with it. I will have to change my handle to Quad-nut. How does it feel to have 4 nuts packed in one sac? How big is the pump compared to the AMS 700 pump? What is the procedure? Do the same Docs that do implants do the AUS? Any info at this point would be appreciated....

oldbeek has one listed in his signature. There most likely are others. Just do a search in the upper right for AUS.

I posted some time ago regarding controlling incontinence with an IPP. Look it up in Members only. Briefly, I discovered a study by some Korean researchers who found that partial inflation of the implant led to control of leaking in 72.2% of the men studied who had had radical prostatectomies and suffered incontinence. I tried it and found that about 30% inflation was effective for me. You may need more or less. I later tried sleeping with 100% inflation and found I was able to go through the day with just one pump to reset the valve. This has worked for nearly a year now. Sleeping with a full erection is no problem and waking with morning wood reminds me of the good old days. Two other members of this forum have reported to me that they also have success with this approach. Give it a try. You have nothing to lose and you have the equipment necessary. You may be able to avoid the surgery for the AUS and avoid a crowded scrotum. And you can start today! Let me know how it goes.

I will try it. Like you said, I have nothing to lose.
I do not have a problem during the night. I get up and go, the problem is that as soon as I stuff it back in I will leak down my leg if I miss the pad in my shorts. That seems to be my problem all day, however. While I am doing things around the house and outdoors if I bend over I leak too.
I have also read a little about the Sling, also.

My lgx pump is sideways at the upper part of my sack..Slightly left. The AUS Hangs straight down on the lower right size of my sack. testicles are hiding in their upper hiding area. Pump is smaller and easy to reach. I am right handed. Same surgeon did LGX first then AUS 12 months later. I leak when riding my quad with legs spread ridding in rough desert. Dont leak when standing on pegs only.

lester33 had the same problem with dribbling after urination. He has had good control with this technique. One thing that also helps is to be sure to milk all urine out of the urethra after urination. The bulbous urethra often loses tone as one gets older. Just shaking off the last drop doesn't work. You need to press a finger way behind the scrotum and slide it forward to work the remaining urine forward to the tip. You will be surprised at how much urine you can milk out by this technique. Repeat a couple of times to be sure you get it all. I'm sure that will help. I did not have problems at night either, but I think the 100% inflation all night long tends to tone the urethra so that you do better during the day. I suggest you try about 60% inflation during the day and if you get control, you can reduce the inflation in 10% increments to determine the minimum amount required. It is so nice to not worry about leaks, that I would go to 100% all day long if that was required. Since my implant, I have become a shower and have learned to control my 7.5 inches so as to not attract too much attention. I am so used to going all night with a full erection, that I have on occasion gotten dressed forgetting to deflate. Everyone is different, so you need to experiment a bit to see what works for you. I can tell you that it is well worth the effort. By the way, I recommend sitting while urinating with a full erection. Otherwise, you may have difficulty aiming. Report back with details of how it goes.

Absolutely doctuth’s method has sure worked for me. I had a dribbling problem after going and would sometimes show a spot or two. It’s easy to try and experiment to see if it helps you if not Oldbeek has had good results with his AUS.
I’ve had to recently stop using flomax due to blood pressure issues and it’s harder to completely empty my bladder but still sleeping pumped.

Do you still leak with the AUS?
