Duration of soreness post-surgery?

Hello, bionic brothers both inflatable and malleable. I'm at day 36 post-surgery and — maybe it's because I've been a little more active, or maybe it's because it's just the natural flow of things, but this morning I feel a bit more sore than I have in the prior week. I know that recovery isn't linear, and everything looks good down there (no bruising, no redness or swelling, body temperature of 97.9*F so no fever, etc.).

Just curious about typical experiences. I'm trying not to over-react. Thanks all!

Duke

I’m also at day 36! I still have some tenderness in the pubic area where the pump is and in testes, but I was very swollen and bruised for 2 weeks after surgery.

I wouldn’t be concerned unless the pain is several days…it’s great that you’re back to exercising; I’m slowly working my way back…I didn’t think recovery would be this hard, but it’s moving in the right direction. I don’t think you have to worry. Good luck to you

2 years in here and I can assure you that everything will fall into place in time. I know I went through some weird/worrisome things. For quite some time now my implant feels just like my original equipment and I did have issues such as floppy head, discomfort, pain and it all resolved itself.

This is great to know — thanks so much for your reply. I guess at 36 days I'm still a total rookie. It's helpful to keep in perspective.

Duke, I should have kept a journal when I was going through the healing and cycling period but I didn't, I have to rely on my memory. All of us are different and we all heal different, so it won't be the same for everyone.
I know you have the MPP and I have the IPP, so for me I had some pain in the shaft of my bionic dick for around 4 to 6 months, but only when I would deflate and squeeze the saline out of the implant tubes back into the reservoir. The other pain that I would have, which was max inflation, that lasted a long time around 5 to 6 months was when I would pump my implant up to the max to see how long I could go without discomfort, my goal was to be able to be at max inflation for more than an hour without discomfort and I finally got there after 6 months.
For me I would say at 2 months my dick felt normal when I wasn't squeezing it or having it inflated to the max.
You have the MPP, so you shouldn't have pain in your glans area, because your implant isn't pushing into your glans.
The first time I had sex at 8 weeks, I pumped up ahead of time to be ready when we started foreplay so my wife didn't have to wait for me to get hard, unfortunately sometimes she needs to have some relax down time before she is ready for sex, so after 20 minutes being fully pumped up I started having discomfort and pain and when we started foreplay I was already uncomfortable trying to get her ready for penetration. My dick also felt a little numb at the the tip of my glans when I was trying to penetrate her. I was really disappointed that it didn't go well and my dick was throbbing afterward. I called my doc the next day and told him and he said I probably over did it and just to give it more time.
He was right, it kept getting better every week, so don't freak out if sex isn't great the first time. It took a little over 6 months before sex was great again.
Now that I'm 3 years out, sex is great :!: :D

Keep hanging in there Duke :!:
I don't think you are going to have as much pain as I did with the MPP :!: :)

Sounds typical. I'm six months into my first and still experience some fleeting discomfort with the pump. I think around your time I still had some pain in the shaft as the surgical capsule had not yet formed around the cylinders. Now it feels like nothing. You'll get there.

Are you mentally prepared for all the requests to see images of your malleable in the coming months? I'll be one of those requesting!

Duke, everyone is different and every surgery can have healing problems or even complications. Soreness is normal and nothing to worry, you'll have some "small" issues, like soreness or little pain and discomfort anytime you do something new, like cycling to the max, bending, sex, new sexual positions, different women, trying to "ride" your dick like a horse...
But in general, with time you'll feel less discomfort with time, you also will get to know what your dick likes or not, so you always can adjust to the desire of your dick, getting the maximal fun.
Take it easy and relax, after some tim, you forget to think you have a bionic dick, it all will feel normal and you'll be happy and enjoy your sexual life.
