Pre Implant info

Postby rawli1 » Sun Jan 19, 2025 11:50 am

I got an appt for an implant due to a cancellation...it is on Feb 5th only a couple weeks away. I had full prostate removal 2 years ago and bi and trimix not working. So I am good to go...my question is in the prep. I have had some penis shortening the past few month and am on hormone therapy for 3 more months so sex desire been low .......I am using a medical stretching device (restore) 2 times a day to see if I can recover it(I had ot for p[eyronies earlier ....does Cialis help? Does stretching? Does vacuum? with only a couple weeks is it simply what it is it is? I really don't want to buy a vacuum for a couple weeks..should I?

Any advice on this or anything else pre surgery

My advice would be to get stretching as much and as soon as possible. My doctor had me use a VED to stretch 4 times a day for 20 minutes each session, minimum. I'd had years of atrophy and this really stretched me out. I marked the tube of the VED when I started and by the end of the 3 months I was over an inch longer in the tube. Doc said this helped him put in a longer implant. I have the AMX LGX.

About a month later he said I should also add a traction device. I ended up getting the Penimaster, but there are others. The penimaster has a suction cup that attaches to the head of the penis and then can be connected to a couple of different devices. One was a mechanical contraption with screws to help modify the stretch. Looked like a medieval torture device just for the dick, but seemed to be effective. The other thing it attached to was a belt that could wrap around you, under your clothes so that you could be stretching all day long with no one the wiser.

IMO, the VED did the job better, but then I used it longer. For sure if I were to start over again, I would get both, and perhaps even move the surgery out a little to get the most stretch possible. IMO a VED isn't great for just growing your dick as the gains don't seem to stay. But for pre-implant stretching to allow bigger cylinders, it was terrific.

It's hard to find the time/privacy to be half naked at least 4 times a day, but I'd do it again. My wife knew what I was doing and left me alone for it, and even knocked on my door if she wanted to come in.

FWIW, I gave the VED and the Penimaster to other people here at FT when I was done. So it was a bit of investment for a fairly short term, but the devices got more use than just mine.

Another couple of things to consider: 1. Get a baby sock, super soft and cushy, to put over your dick in the week or two after surgery. Keeps the tender tissues from rubbing on a zipper or anything else. My wife made me a tube of a really soft material and it was great to have. 2. Plan on some down time if you can. I sat in a recliner for a week, half naked, with ice bags on and off as tolerable. 3. Find out when you will be allowed to get in a warm bath. Counterintuitive, since cold keeps the swelling down, but at very warm bath starting on day 3 was the best pain and pressure relief I had during recovery. But make sure you get approval from your doc. My incision was sealed with surgical glue or he wouldn't have let me get into bath water until much later. Too much risk of infection.

Good luck with your stretching. I hope you like your implant as much as I liked mine.

Good luck on your surgery, I got a inexpensive VED off of Amazon but I used it a couple of months before surgery, do you know what type of implant you are getting? My first implant was a Titan, my revision is a AMS LGX, ice, ice,and ice to keep your swelling down, stay clean to avoid infection, I used a urinal jug to pee in and Everytime I used the toilet I have a spray bottle of Clorox and water mix to disinfect. Your first couple of weeks will be uncomfortable but after that you will be on the road to great sex again.
