I have had two Coloplast implants fail in less that 3 years of use. The first failed due to defective tubing. The second was a failure of the valve. So, I am going to have a third surgery. This time I am going with the AMS 700 implant.

I don't think you are alone. I currently had 3 surgeries in last 5 years. Most recently they changed the pump to classic pump, which may have been a problem with the second surgery. My surgeon thinks that there is a problem with the design of the OTR pump which causes it to be more prone to damage and malfunction and has almost exclusively switched to classic pump.
I am seriously considering the next time switching to AMS implant when I need a full removal and replacement for this reason. But it sure as hell works really well for its purposes (Coloplast titan)

I'm sorry for you PeePee but you are neither the first nor the last, these systems should be removed from the market, hope you go well with the next one otherwise they're bullshit, I agree with easymoney, the way I see it, 1 maximum 2 systems that have the short life and then move on to the malleable urgently
