Anyone had a failure/issue with Dr. Clavell?

Hello gents-
Knock on wood - Pun intended, but I haven’t had any issues and i am so very happy with my IPP. (Coloplast Titan).
But- I read so many men talking about failures that I am pretty anxious about having one.
However I never see any complaints or issues with any done by Clavell.
I know that a good doc means a lot, and Clavell is one of the best, but do yall think that could seriously affect the performance?

Only just implanted in Sept 2024, and so far so good. But have lost a lot of sensation on the underside of the shaft which really affects pleasure.
Unrelated to the main topic, but have you recovered much of your size since the op?

Don't live in fear worrying about a failure my man.
You're borrowing trouble that isn't yours yet.
Enjoy every moment of your bionic life....and when it failures, just get a revision.
Revision recovery is usually much faster and you usually get upsized....so all good.

A surgeon like Clavell (He's doing mine tomorrow!) does a couple hundred (not exaggerating) implant surgeries per year. So an experienced surgeon isn't going to have any of his implants fail because of something he did wrong.
The main causes of failure are:
- how many years since the implant was placed
- how frequently the implant was used - more sex means more wear and tear over time
- implant damage during prostate surgery, radiation, etc
- early mechanical failure -very rare
- infection - very, very rare
Talk to your Urologist. He/she can tell you the average age of an implant that he's replacing. Both Coloplast and Boston Scientific report that over 50% of their implants are still working after 20 years.

That's fantastic. We could apply that wisdom to many aspects of our lives!

There was study which claims that malfunction not depend from quality of the surgeon. So your surgeon can't influence on lifespan of your implant. And I don't believe that 50% of implants still working after 20 years. Even Clavell don't believe in that. I think more reliable lifespan is 5-10 years. And probably past implants (from 90s and 00s) more reliable regarding malfunction if compare with modern implants. Quality of modern stuff are shitty
