Young, single, surgery soon, questions

Quick overview - mid 30s, single, very active and metabolically fit, severe ED for about 4 years, eventually had doppler with result of high velocity venous outflow via the circumflex veins at the base at both sides with vigorous dorsal vein flow with flow velocities of about 30 cm/s. I have surgery scheduled for the end of February. My surgeon will use a coloplast device with counterincision.
I'm more excited than nervous. This has been a long journey. I'm ready to move on with my life.
I have read my doctor's notes and watched Dr. Clavell's videos. The pre and post operative instructions seem annoying but manageable. I'll buy all the supplies - biker shorts, frozen peas/ice, looser chinos, ETC. I feel I’ve done my due dilligence around preparation, but I still have some lingering questions:
1. This is a remarkably personal experience that I do not wish to share with friends or family. It would be good to hear from other younger men who have also chosen to keep this private. Based on the post operative instructions it seems like I can handle this well - recover alone for a week or two, wear biker shorts under looser chinos in public, but otherwise live and behave normally, even if still painful or uncomfortable. Essentially, can I hide away for a week and recover, and then appear in public looking and acting normal? This is very important to me.
2. I'm a little worried about the glans. I don't have head engorgement now under any situation, even when the shaft is somewhat firm and I've taken pills, so penetration is impossible. I'm aware that blood supply to the head is different and won't be affected by surgery, but I've been told by my doctor that I shouldn't have problems with penetration if the shaft is hard enough, even if there is no blood to the head. Can someone reassure me that this seems correct?
3. My bathing post operative instructions: sponge baths for 48 hours, "back shower" okay after, no direct water contact at the wound site for 5 days. On the 7th day after surgery start warm baths, and wash the incision with soap and water. I don't have a bath tub, but I imagine that I'll manage with a pan/wash cloth.
This may be a strange question, but I don't think I've ever not washed downstairs for multiple days, and this is the first part of my body to smell and need cleaning every day. Do these instructions make sense, and is there anything I can do to keep this area clean and fresh and free from bacteria/normal odor?
