I was implanted in Jan 2024, as you can see in my bio. I decided to fly from the other side of the planet in order to have this surgery in USA. FreeTalk helped me a lot during my decision process. I’m not sure I would have pulled the trigger if I hadn’t read this forum. As a payback, I decided to give my annual report. A brief summary of my decision process, post-op journey and current situation.
If you don’t want to read everything I wrote, just know that everything’s great.
Me
I stumbled upon this forum in 2023. Started reading hundreds of journals, threads etc. Stories I was reading were quite similar to mine. Losing erections while changing positions, anxiety from hit-or-miss experiences, occasionally passing on opportunities… My sex life was quite frustrating at that point. I had a pretty damn good life except one part: Sex.
I don’t have a medical expertise but I tried to learn as much as possible. Read about surgeries, possible complications, technical differences between implant models etc. After months of contemplating, I decided to go with the nuclear option.
I had a long penis with a 30° downward curvature, chordee to be more spesific. Which means I had to be implanted with a more rigid implant. I had three options: Titan, AMS CX and Rigicion X.
Choosing a Surgeon
This is probably the single most important part of your decision process. You don't need a great urology department of a prestigious facility. What you need is someone specialized in IPP surgery. Someone who almost exclusively performs IPP surgeries with great success rate. Your thinking/research process should be based on microsurgeons, not medical centers.
Hundreds of different journals on this site underline the importance of picking the best surgeon you can find. Here’s how I chose.
It was obvious that I needed a XL prosthesis, but the longest model in my home country was 22cm, which meant I’d be implanted with RTEs. I know it’s a hot topic and there’s no agreement on it. But I wanted to avoid RTEs. Eid and couple of his colleagues wrote articles about RTEs and its effects on rigidity. Here’s one: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6358419/
(don’t forget that I don’t possess the medical knowledge to analyze this article, but it’s coming from Eid)
In order to avoid RTEs, I had to have surgery abroad. USA was the obvious destination. I made a list of doctors venerated by this community: Eid, Hakky, Clavell, Cordon, Perito etc. Decided to have virtuals with Eid and Hakky. Both are amazing, obviously.
I preferred Hakky because he offered me a technique to get rid of the curvature (he said he could lessen the curvature to 5 degrees, to be more exact). This technique is called Scratch. You can find couple of other experiences with scratch technique on this site.
I was quite ecstatic when I heard this. I really disliked that damn curvature. I decided that Hakky was the optimal option for my medical condition. Again, I’m sure other top surgeons are also amazing, but there can be subtle differences in surgical tehcniques. Eid, for example, didn’t guarantee such an outcome. After having extensive talks with Hakky, I was sure that he was the best micro-surgeon for my situation.
The most important part of my decision process was done.
Preparation
I don’t think I can add anything beyond “famous” journals you can read on this website. Namely Merrix and Tangerine.
Just remember that you won’t be able to move comfortably for a while. Which means you should be prepared for what you’ll need after the surgery: Clean clothes, clean underwear (that should be changed every single day), a frigde full of food, water, ice etc. Both Hakky and Clavell made YouTube videos about pre-operation instructions. I’d urge you to watch them.
Important note: I didn’t have any other underlying medical condition. If you have one, your preparation may differ from mine.
Post-operation
When you lie down in a hotel room by yourself, you may feel anxious. It’s natural. Doubt creeps in. “Am I the unlucky one? Will I be a part of %1 or whatever percent that got infected?” Calm yourself down. If you were able to find one of the best microsurgeons on the planet, you did your part. Everything will probably be fine… Well, everything turned out to be fine.
Pain was mostly manageable in my case. With that said, first couple of weeks were tricky. You should realize that you simply won’t be able to move for some time.
I had one problem: Persistent pain in my left groin that started 3-4 weeks after surgery. But that turned out to be a completely different injury. Mild muscle tear that’s not related to the implant. Keep in mind that if you experience unexpected discomfort or pain, you may want to have other parts of your body examined.
Size and Shape
I didn’t lose any length or girth. Sizing is perfect.
When I inflate the implant, the angle is around 3 o’clock, which is what I was expecting.
What amazed me the most is the shape though. After I first inflated it, the curvature was almost entirely gone. Hakky promised me a penis with less than 5° curvature. In the early days that was the case, but it got better. Nowadays it looks like it’s straight as an arrow. I honestly think there’s no curvature at all.
Cycling
My doctor and his crew showed me how to cycle and I followed their routine religiously. I still cycle on a daily basis.
There’s one thing I noticed that I want to share. In the early days 15 pumps would be enough for max inflation. Nowadays I can do almost 35-40 pumps. Let’s say 25-30 full pumps followed by 10 partial pumps.
Quality of Erection
Is it good? Yes. Is it as good as a natural erection? No, nothing beats a throbbing erection full of blood. But this is the next best thing.
When I’m aroused, natural blood flow makes my penis rounder, crowned with a mushroom-shaped glans. Sometimes I use Cialis.
Sex
I’ve been with dozens of women since the surgery. Almost exclusively girls in their late 20s and early 30s. I had problems with ejaculating in the first couple of months, but in the end evertyhing got better. Both physically and mentally. Now I can ejaculate %90 of the time. I only have problems with ejaculation when I’m drunk and high as hell.
Orgasms are quite powerful. No different than what I was experiencing before the surgery.
I know you guys want to know about secrecy. Is it possible to hide the fact that I am implanted? I mean, yeah. I did that during every single one night stand. I can easily hide it for couple of nights, especially with less experienced girls. But if you’re in a relationship, they’ll understand something is up.
I talked about it twice. Two different girls. I was extremely careful with the timing. When the timing was right, I talked about it in the most confident way possible. I almost made a super-human case for myself, albeit semi-jokingly. One of them was hesitant but curious, the other one was turned on. If you can confidently talk about this shit (and fuck them into oblivion on the same day), a lot of them will be happy. (With that said, I also know lots of women experience acombination of lust, joy and pride when they know that they're able to erect your penis. That's their power, the ultimate turn-on. They truly love that process. So yeah, I'm sure that losing that would be a turn-off for some.)
Here’s a reminder: Women don’t come to me because of the implant itself. I got other things going on for me; looks, money, career etc. With that said, the confidence boost the implant gave me is ridicilous. It’s literally liberating. You’ll be freed from the cage of constant monologue inside your mind that talks about ED all the time.
Regrets
None.
I read hundreds of threads before the surgery to prepare everything beforehand. I found one of the best micro-surgeons in this field. I religiously followed every instruction and recommendation my doctor gave me after the surgery.
There’s no such thing as perfection. What implant gives me is not as good as a natural erection full of blood, but it’s the next best thing. If your sex life is well below average, this may be your best option. It’s not a new technology, it’s been in the market for decades. Patient satisfaction rate is unparalleled. You can add my satisfaction to that stat.
Life is good. Sex is fun. Good luck, have fun.

From my signature you can see we have the same implant.
I am almost 5 months post op and the number of pumps has increased over time.
The cylinders are starting to soften and not stick so much straight out.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 1 Year Report
I started cycling couple of days after the surgery. Hakky told me that a patient with a longer penis should start cycling as soon as possible. They told me to cycle twice a day. 30-60 minutes per session, if I remember correctly.
Nowadays I have sex 5-6 days per week. Multiple sex sessions per day most of the time. When I don't have sex (1-2 days per week), I inflate it to the max for 45 minutes.
The cylinders should soften in time. That's in line with natural recovery process. But I don't understand how cylinders don't stick so much straight out? Are you talking about the angle of your penis? Or maybe the rigidity of cyclinders? If it's the latter, are you sure you're inflating enough?

Thanks for sharing your story, it’s very inspiring! When you say you didn’t lose any length or girth, is that a observation one year after surgery, or were you like that in the early days of your recovery?
I’m slightly over two months post surgery and I’m both thinner and shorter than pre surgery. I’m cycling twice a day for about an hour and I really hope to regain some of my lost size.

When max inflated my penis angle is between 3 and 2 o'clock.
Currently, when flaccid, completely deflated (shaft squeezed while pressing deflation bars), penis angle is between 3 and 4 o'clock. Initially after surgery when allowed to start cycling, I was at 3 o'clock.
My before surgery, flaccid hang angle was more downward, say between 5 and 6 o'clock.
I guess my question is, has your flaccid hang progressively improved over time and how long did it take?

Re: 1 Year Report
Thanks Satyrum for the great 1-year-report!
It will inspire some more Newbies to get an implant and that's great and my mission too.
I'm also getting a very nice normal shaped penis and a nice natural blood flow, especially in my glans which gives me a wonderful sensation, especially during oral sex, which I therefore choose girls that like to perform nice sloppy oral sessions.
Anyway, I'm a bit (
) older than you, but started my new sexual adventure after my 4th divorcement and after my implant surgery 7/23 and I must say, it's great.
We all in the bionic brotherhood should post such positive stories as yours, mine and others to inspire more ED sufferers to get an implant.
Please stay around and continue to share your experience.
Thanks
Dan

I gained most of it in the first couple of months. In fact, I stopped measuring it after three months. But I remember reading journals about people who kept gaining for at least 1 year.

I guess my question is, has your flaccid hang progressively improved over time and how long did it take?
My inflated angle is around 3 o'clock (maybe somewhere between 3:00 and 3:30). Deflated angle is almost 6 o'clock (maybe somewhere between 6:00 and 5:30). I think it's been like this since 3 months post-op.
I remember Merrix writing about a problem like that. Maybe you can check it out.
