Malleable or inflatable.
I read a one inch loss is expected for Malleable’s.

1/2 inch with initial implant. Additional 1.5 inch on revision. Was 8.5 and now 6.5.

I've lost maybe an inch to inch and a half mostly due to fat pad and some to revision. 2nd revision is tomorrow Feb 18th, with Dr Hakky so I assume I'll have a better outcome this go around.

So first implant was total of 25 cm lenght (24+0.5+0.5) and second one was 26 cm lenght, but still you lost additional size?
Who were your two surgeons?

lost about a 1/2 inch in girth and an inch of length with my inflatable. had surgery in january so I'm sure ill get it back plus more

I had a conversation with Hakky about this; he said typically 1 cm for malleables, unless the patient has diabetes (in which case he would downsize by 2 cms).

Makes no sense. You had to have been undersized, regardless of what they put on your discharge. I would have a consult with Hakky or some other high-volume surgeon to see if they could explain.

At first pump I was a little over an inch shorter than prior to surgery. Within 6 months had gained 3/4 back…. By 10 months was back to original max. Actually bigger in girth by 1/4” than anytime prior to surgery!

I have the inflatable, I gained a half inch.

I have no knowledge about malleable implants and a brief search looks like some size loss can happen, but I want to ask - those who are reporting large losses of an inch or more, does that include pre and post-surgery cycling and VEDs? Is this an immediate after surgery loss and it stays that way?
