What does "18mm +/- 2" mean on CX Diameter specs?

Does that mean it expands to 20mm or can contract to 16mm? It can't be the tolerances--that's way too big a range.

Where do you see that?

I'd read it as "up to 20mm" but then the 18mm+/- kinda walks that back.

FWIW Clavell in a video linked to in another post measures fully pumped circumference. About 6.5cm for AMS and 7.0cm for Titan. That equates to just over 20mm and 22mm diameter, respectively.
Here's the clip.

I've got an un-installed AMS CX here and it is a little under 19mm at max inflation

Hmm. I wonder if quantity of fluid in the reservoir has some role? It's a curious spec.
BTW, your experience with the Titan played a role in my choosing the AMS. I consulted with Eid first but had various reservations, partially with the Titan, partially with travelling alone for surgery, so went with a doctor closer to home.

Nice glad to hear it! Titan was great during sex but really felt pretty horrible the rest of life. Liking my ams a lot better. Glad you're on the other side of yours too

Thank you. I get it activated next week. I'm hoping cycling brings me back some. Fingers crossed.

In the engineering world this is a tolerance spec
Meaning the cylinder is designed for 18mm but because the manufacting process, material etc. they can be as small as 16mm (-2mm) to as large as 20mm (+2mm)

what is the volume of liquid in the reservoir? Hakky in his last video shows that the diameter of the CX is 20.1. As I understand it, it depends on how full the reservoir is. everything would be fine, but I still don't understand how with the CX you can maintain a girth of 6 or more inches
