I'm fixed

My surgery went well for those who've followed my story. Dr Hakky confirmed what I knew was wrong - that the connector between the pump and reservoir had come apart see attached photos, how he couldn't say how it did but hopefully when Boston gets it back and does their forensic check they'll know and they are sending me a copy of the report as well.
Dr Hakky is a great guy and I highly recommend him to anyone having the surgery. He said I was a great patient and did very well. He did have to dig around to find the piece of collar that came off and made it fail ( circled in green.) I do have the Tenacio pump, and he placed the pump low and well behind the boys to make it " easier on the wife, so she don't feel it while you're having fun." And I mean he placed it well behind the boys, feels like I'm trying to reach my butthole it's that far back, but that could mostly be the swelling..
My Boston rep brought in a demo working Tenacio pump, it's very easy to find all the key points. Deflate button sits higher, and to pump it up you squeeze it closer to the bottom. Gone is the "pop" and "buzz" you could feel or hear on deflate, you can sometimes feel a slight click, but you'll notice it deflating. Also it pumps more fluid on each squeeze.
Obviously I'm writing this the morning after Feb 19th. I believe he said he placed the same size device, but put in 2cm rear tips and not the 1.5cm's I had before. He has you do 3 appointments after, 1 week to learn how to inflate and deflate 2-3 times a day for 30 minutes, and at 2 weeks and 4 weeks for wound care and general discussion of any issues or concerns. I get to remove the drain Saturday and he will let you do that yourself or you can come to the office to have it done.
Just glad this is over and hopefully won't be doing this again for 15 years or so. Just checked and yes I have the 12mm x 21cm AMS 700 CX with 2cm rear tips extenders.

Sorry got the photos reversed in the comments. I will upload a photo of my practice pump in a few. Have to reduce the size of the photo first.

Sorry got the photos reversed in the comments. I have a photo of my practice pump next to a memory stick for size comparison.

Congrats especially with the latest Tenacio pump. Did Dr. Hakky place the reservoir in the submuscular space or next to the bladder (retzius space)?

I believe in the retzius space in the right side. I've had two previous, first on the left side ( and left in place plon both revisions ) the first revision obviously went in the right side as well as this revision. Dr Hakky didn't see a need to go fishing for the other reservoir as it would only cause more damage. Now to just keep pulling down on that pump because he placed it way back there behind the boys.

Hey John about this buzz and pop. You mean that you cuold feel noise with the old MS, while the tenacio is even more silent?
I thought the MS was silent too.
Cuold you elaborate? Thanks and congrats for your new implant, I'm happy everything want smooth this time

On the MS pump when you gave it the first hard squeeze to pump it up you could feel and sometimes hear a "pop" as the valves seated themselves to allow it to pump fluid into the cylinders. When you press the deflate button I think it unseats the valves to allow it to deflate and as the fluid moved back into the reservoir they "buzzed" you could feel it while holding the pump and you could sometimes hear it as well. At least that's the way I believe it worked and how it was described to me. My Boston rep said they polled Drs and users on the things they liked vs didn't like about the MS pump. Drs loved the pop and buzz but most of the patients did not like it so they did away with the pop and buzz so now it pumps faster, and is quieter as well. They figured make the patients happy was the better idea going forward after all we have to deal with it daily for the rest of its lifespan.

Got it. Thanks. Sorry that you had to go through two revisions. Both were AMS CX, the first one broke as well? Did Hakky do a infrapubic on you? Otherwise I don't understand why the pump is riding so high.

Both AMS CX, first one had a pinhole leak in left cylinder less than a week after surgery, revision was 2 months later and it worked fine for about 6 months and failed so here we are 13 months later getting this revision which hopefully will be one that lasts a good 15 years. He did penoscrotal on me because the first two were penoscrotal, he placed the pump further back and gave a little more length to the tubing so it could settle down. I think he did that for better comfort and the previous MS pump was riding forward of my right testicle which made it easier to use but also would cause a little discomfort at times.
