Well, I did it and survived… so far

I’m 4 hours post op and feeling pretty good. Dr Karpman said I did great with no complications. I’m staying overnight with a catheter and drain and it’s easy so far. The drain is taking a lot out so hopefully I won’t have too much swelling from the infrapubic method with this drain and ice over the next 24 hrs. Both will come out in the morning and if all goes well and I’m up and around and pee, I’ll be out and home by noon tomorrow.

Doc measured me in surgery and went with a 22cm Titan with 1cm RTE’s, a Genesis classic pump and 125cc reservoir filled to 125. I pre-op stretxh measured at 16cm and the doc is confident I’ll get that after a few months of cycling 2-3x per day up to an hour each time if possible. He says max pumping and then adding some more after a little while and to suck up the pain if I can. “No pain,
No gain” from stretching it to get max length according to him. So I will follow the doc’s orders! Fortunately I have a high tolerance for pain and am motivated to get max benefits.

Thanks and good luck to you too. If you have a good surgeon, the risk still seems very low from what I’ve heard. Be optimistic and manifest it good!

Dr Karpman gave you very good instructions for his protocol and was honest with you about the pain you could have while healing and then cycling. I'm sure you won't have as much pain because you had the infrapubic install. I had FrankTalk friends that had sex at 3 weeks after that type of install.

Since you had that type of install, did the doc want you to pull down on the pump to keep it from migrating upward into the top of your scrotum?
