The doubt is can i ride a bike safely with an implant for about 15 minutes? I ve read that riding a bike with an implant (titan) could be dangerous and im with doubts but there will be a situation where i will have to ride a bike for about that time probably..

Are there any underwear or clothing that can ensure that my pump, tubes , implant are placed in a safer position if im riding a bike?

Thank you so much

Many men on FrankTalk are avid bicyclists with no issues. I ride 50 miles a week, and have continued to do so since my implant 2 years ago, no issues whatsoever. No pain, no discomfort, no nothing. No different than when I was OEM.

Lenders, I don't have the same implant as you but I usually ride anywhere from 100 to 150 miles a week and I haven't had any problems.

I've heard that Titan tubes don't hold up as well for guys that like to cycle.

I have a Titan with the classic pump and haven’t had a problem. Haven’t really gotten back into a groove of riding 60-100 miles per week, but that is because of other things getting in the way like having time, weather, being lazy, etc. The doc didn’t have any concerns about it. I’ll typically ride about 20 miles when I can get a ride in and haven’t had problems since I healed up and made some minor tweaks to my bike fit.

And you use a special saddle with a "space" in the middle or a regular one?

Thank you

I’ve ridden a saddle with a split for a number of years of years now. I actually tried a couple of new saddles when I first got back on the bike but ended up going back to the one I was riding prior to surgery.

Same for me Lenders, I have two road bikes and I have two different saddles, both have splits to take the pressure off the perineum during long rides.

This is one of the saddles I use, the PL1.1 40. It has good cushioning and is comfortable for long rides. https://ismseat.com/performance-long/pl-1-1/

The other saddle I use is a Specialized Power saddle, it is sporty but still gives comfort and pressure relief. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/s-wor ... 742-156019

You still need to have a good bike fit to make sure that you are sitting right on your bike, so that you can ride for longer distances and not have soft tissue problems.

Even with good saddles, you will get some soreness after long rides. It takes saddle time to get past the soreness, but if you have something that isn't going away with more saddle time, you could still have a problem with your bike fit.

I'm starting to get back to longer rides after having had a head sinus cold for three weeks and then I did a pre-cancer skin treatment for two weeks, so I'm trying to get past the soreness too after being off the bike so long.

I think you'll do fine with your implant, just listen to your body and see what it feels like when you start riding.

That's great to hear as leading up to my surgery, i would ride miles to get in better shape in anticipation for " THE" surgery. I hoped to continue when I recover. I'm only 1 week post op so yeah, I'm just chilling and healing :)
