Hello All,
Thanks to admins for adding me to this forum. I dont believe there is any other forum on this planet where men can talk about matters that no one else is ready to discuss.
I am 47 yrs old and suffered from ED from 19-20 yr ago, went through a whole bunch of pills and tried injections which were painful and i couldn't continue.
I had Coloplast inflatable implant surgery on 11 feb 2025. My penis has always been below average and been with one women all my life. I dont believe i was never able to satisfy her with my penis and i was really hoping that an implant will give me a good chance of making her happy.
Post surgery, i noticed that my penis is becoming smaller and smaller as the days go by. I am deeply concerned about this size reduction. I was below average to begin with and if the size keeps getting smaller it is a nightmare.
Is it normal for the size to continue to go down? Am i going to get any inc back when i start pumping it (doc appointment on 28 Feb for demo and first cycle).
I am really hoping to get my size back and be able to satisfy my wife. that was the whole point of going through the surgery.
will be grateful for any advice.
Thanks

Re: Concerned with size after implant
Hi Tying_hard!
The "srinkage" you are seeing that is ongoing is not shrinkage, its the swelling from the surgery going down. It is ENTIRELY common after surgery that your initial size will be smaller than you were, and this is because the implant has not broken in yet. You will need to activate, and cycle the pump twice daily and engage in what is known as "Perito" exercises which help stretch the implant and your tissues back out.
What implant did you get and what size? Also what size were you prior to surgery and after? There can be undersizing that takes place if the surgery was done incorrectly, but there are obvious signs that it was done (floppy glans for one).
I wouldn't stress too much - I've been there (two months ago in fact) and freaked out as well.
Patience, and dilligent cycling is key.
Cheers!

As I've posted many times on here I had very good growth with Coloplast Titan both L and G. In 2020 I had radical prostrate surgery, years of awful ED where I only showed 1.5 to 2 inches. Demoralizing to say the least. Today I am at 6L 6G. I'm over 2 years in and healing takes time. Upon awakening from implant surgery I was not impressed. In time with daily cycling twice a day(Perito Vids) it slowly began to grow. I know its different for everyone however I've heard many having good growth too.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your reply.
You give me hope
. I have seen MPT video on "Perito" exercises and everyone here is talking about. I will definitely start doing this exercise once i am cleared by my surgeon. I am scheduled for the first demo and cycle on 28th of March. I haven't fully healed so keeping my fingers crossed that i am fully healed by 28th.
Thanks again!

Post op I had the same concerns. Granted it was heavily bandaged and difficult to get an accurate measurement but at the time I thought I had a 4"to 5" dick . Three months later , I cycled my way up to 7 1/4" (7 1/2 with the VED - Better glans engorgement ) . Don't panic , give yourself time to heal

Trying_hard, come back at the 6 month mark. Size recovery is a journey that takes some time. A few men take up to 1 year. A very few report 1 1/2 years. 6 months is the most common time.
FWIW, I refused to post my size before the 3 month mark. I took a lot of heat over my position. Mainly because at the time there was a few guys that seemed to get obsessed over a size post but yet miss when a member updated his info.
You might find that as your penis girth reduces as the swelling goes away. That your pubic fat pad will reduce from swelling also. So you could pick up a little length.
Don't worry. Be sure to follow your drs cycling suggestions. Cycling is an important step. Following an exact process isn't as important as making sure that you do cycle & don't be afraid of any discomfort. If its too much? Just deflate & cycle again later. Stretching can cause some minor pain. I took it as a good sign that my cycling was working.

Thanks Journeyman and Gt1956 for the words of encouragement. I am really looking forward to my appointment with doc (28th March) and start cycling.
Since i always had a less than average penis both length and girth wise, the thought of loosing any more size is nothing short of a nightmare for me.
I am will post about my first experience cycling my implant. Who knows just the look of a my rock hard penis (which has not happened in the past 19 years) might be enough to bring smile on my face.
Much appreciate the kind words.
Cheers!

Re: Concerned with size after implant
Guys, another question, I got my implant on 11 Feb and today is like 4 weeks into recovery. My incision is not completely healed. About a week ago doc extended antibiotics for 2 weeks which i am till taking. I am also applying antibiotic cream on the incision site but every time i apply cream it stings a bit, giving me impression that the incision is still raw and not completely healed. I have my first implant cycle scheduled for 28th March and i would hate for it to get rescheduled because of my delayed healing.
Is it normal for incision site to sting 4 weeks in recovery?
Is it normal for recovery to take this long?
Cheers!

Hi Alex,
It is at the base of the penis, where it joins the Testicle I believe it is called penoscrotal.
Cheers!
