Titan classic pump technique & no saline in mine

Postby Wooody » Thu Mar 06, 2025 9:06 am

I'm on day 2 of cycling (day 9 post op) and thought I'd share pics of my Dr demonstrating his recommended technique for pumping & releasing in case anyone is interested. My first cycle was definitely uncomfortable from the skin pinching, but I got it done. Today, my 2nd cycle was much easier using his technique with my non-dominate, left hand.

Also, he did not use saline in my implant. He used Irricept which is an "antimicrobial wound lavage" and is used by him, and many surgeons during the surgery to soak the implant. He says it should theoretically reduce the potential risks of infection in case of implant rupture or failure in the future. He said more about it but frankly, I don't remember the entire conversation. He also claims that he has not had any patient, either new or revision implant, have an infection in over 6 years, if I remember correctly.

Actually sounds like a good idea. Can you say who your doctor is and where he is. I would like to have mine contact him prior to my next surgery.

Dr Edward Karpman is my surgeon and is in Mountain View (Bay Area) California. Been really happy with him and my results so far
