Titan guys, Is it possible to over pump and damage the IPP?

Bionic Bros,

I'm starting my 2nd week of cycling, 2 weeks post-op, and am wondering if I can over pump this thing and break something, like the pump, tubes, connectors, or reservoir? I'm not worried about the cyclinders based on everything I've read and heard, but what about everything else?

So far, things are going great. For the first 2-4 days of cycling I was able to get 30-40 pumps at the start of my cycle and add a couple mid-way through my 45-60 min sessions. Those pumps felt like maybe they were 1/2-2/3 pumps given how hard the pump was at first and not feeling the back of the pump when I squeezed. Since then, the pump has started to get a bit softer and for the last 3-4 days I've been able to get 50-60 pumps in at first, then add anywhere from 3-8 more pumps mid way through my session. I still don't feel like the pumps are completely full pumps as I really don't feel I hit the back of the pump. Each time I stop pumping when the pump is stiff and I can't seem to squeeze it anymore. 50-70 pumps (total) seems like a lot!

I always try to add a few more pumps mid way through my sessions to try to stretch and grow over the next few months, but can I go too far? Can I break something, or am I overthinking this?

I'd say no . You'd have to have some serious grip strength to damage anything. First the pump will get almost as hard as a marble when at the max pressure . But , for arguments sake , lets say you crush that marble and squeeze more fluid , I think the weakest link in the proverbial chain would be the tubing .

It says this on the Coloplast website: "Bioflex withstands higher pressure with a tensile strength of 7,500 psi." I think squeezing the pump hard enough to damage the cylinders from too much pressure is not humanely possible. On the other hand, excessive pressure could cause some painful bruising of the scrotal tissues, and the pump ball could shoot out from between your fingers, which can be painful and might stress the tubing. If that happens very often, it could weaken the tubing, which is the most common site for Titan IPP failure.

No…I maxed out early and never had a problem

I doubt you have enough hand strength to over-pump the Titan. Pump mine to the max always, never had a problem.

I read here on FT that someone could not physically generate enough pressure with the pump bulb to negatively affect the components.

I've plopped my sack and pump up on my marble bathroom countertop and pushed down on it as hard as I was able to with my thumb with all my strength. No issues, and may have only gotten a couple of drops of fluid more than I did just squeezing it while standing up. I could not feel a difference in the cylinders.

Seems it's not worth it to try what I did, no benefit.

After 2 years in I will pump the shit out of it. Even when I think I'm done I can still manage a few more pumps. I squeeze as hard as I can. Nothing bad will happen.
