What's the science behind: "Pump to max. Wait 3 minutes. Pump some more?"

When readying for fun and games many of us:
1)Pump to max.
2)Wait a few minutes.
3)Then get a few more pumps in to get things real firm.

What's loosening up in this 3 minutes to allow for more saline/firmness?
Your tunica albuginea or the cylinders?

Is this strategy the same for the Coloplast vs the AMS?

Junk098, I have the AMS LGX and that works for me also. I'll pump 25 times usually in a hot shower and I can get 5 to 6 more pumps in after about 5 minutes. I think it's the albuginea stretching, but I'm not sure.
My wife likes it super hard, so I try to oblige her :!: :lol:
