Pump stuck to scrotum ?

I'm curious to know if anyone else ended up with their pump adhered to the inside of their scrotum. On "activation" day my Dr confirmed what I was suspecting - that my pump had gotten adhered to the inside of my scrotum. I'd noticed that when I moved the pump, the same piece of scrotum skin always went with it. And, the movement of the pump was limited to how far the piece of skin could move with it. This created a lot of pain, especially when I'd sit or move around in bed.

The Dr said the capsule that forms around the implant parts was what became adhered. Fortunately the adhesion broke lose after I started cycling.

I hadn't heard about this previously, and wonder if anyone else had an experience like this.

At 48 days post-op: "Activation day" - big discovery - the rough pain at the bottom of the scrotum where the pump sat was caused by the capsule around the pump adhering to the inside of the scrotum, and, it broke lose after pumping up at home - no more pain from that.

At 33 days post-op: Unfortunately most of the remaining pain still comes from the bottom of my scrotum where the pump is resting and/or rubbing when I move around.

At 25 days post-op: Biggest source of pain continues to be the bottom of my scrotum where the pump is resting - but the level of pain continues going down as swelling decreases - much easier to get in and out of bed and chairs.

At 18 days post-op: Biggest source of pain is bottom of scrotum where pump is resting - it seem to rub on the inside especially when I walk it rubs between my legs - anyone else experience this ? Is your pump resting at the bottom of your scrotum ? If so, is it painful from friction against inside of scrotum ?

At 1 day post-op: The only glitch was getting into the car for the ride home. I miscalculated clearing the seat cushion bolster, dragged my scrotum across it with pressure, and that moved the edge of the bandages/gauze right on top of the scrotum stiches. Hurt like hell until I got home and removed the bandages. Also caused some bleeding.

I guess your doc forgot to tell you to pull down on your pump gently a few days after surgery. It’s to prevent it from migrating and doing the same as your pump did.

That's interesting. I was told to pull it down, but since it was already at the bottom there was nowhere to pull it to. I didn't know the pump had to be pulled away from everything to prevent it from adhering.

I guess your doc forgot to tell you to pull down on your pump gently a few days after surgery. It’s to prevent it from migrating and doing the same as your pump did.

Kodixx I'm having the same problem with the pump, it rubs the scrotum towards the inner thigh/groin, I tried to pull the pump towards the other part of the scrotum, having a small scrotum I don't have the possibility to move the pump too much, because like you the scrotum ends up, where the pump rubs, and it hurts, I'm putting artrosilene gel, this way you have the possibility to heal without suffering too much

Chuck, mine was at the bottom also, but my doc told me to gently pull down on it every day around three times a day. It was really hard to pull down on it a few days after the surgery, I told my doc that I didn't feel like I was doing anything, but he said I was.

Sounds like even a small amount of movement might be enough to stop adhesion from happening.

happened to me except it adhered to my actual testicle. Doctor was able to massage it and break the adhesion. now every time i piss i move the pump around vigorously lol

Vitalssk, ouch that sounds worse than mine ! What was the level of pain while adhered ? Is there any residual pain now ?

When I had the Titan it had adhered to my scrotum during the healing process, had to pull down and keep working it to
Free itself. The AMS I have had no issues. Good luck, and enjoy your implant
