Small Glans

I have the option of getting an implant. One thing that really concerns me is that I'm definitely a grower not a show'er and flaccid I have a very small glans.

When engorged my glans grows a lot. This means with an erect sized flaccid penis post implant I will also have a very small glans, but without engorgement I'm worried that my glans will remain small in my erect state too.

My issue is that injections still work for me and sonitsnnot just a case of no erection vs not ideal implant erection.

Injections are not ideal though after six years already.

Are there any other small glans guys out there?

I think that you are confusing an erection with arousal. The erection will be provided by the IPP. The glans are controlled by your own arousal that happens as you get turned on. Prior to ED, they usually happen at the same time.

I do wonder if the glans engorges as much as it did pre implant as it does after.

Still. It will continue to leave me with a 6.5 inch flaccid penis and a small gland post op. All the videos I see are of guys who have a large glans flaccid where it compliments their shaft perfectly

Are you comparing yourself to porn? I have a small head. It grows with arousal to the same size as pre ED & the IPP.
Trust the implanted members. Most members are fairly happy. But be warned. It isn't perfect from the day of surgery. The total recovery might take a year of small increments. Size.....girth was there at maybe 2 months. Length....maybe 4 months. The timeline varies for every man & is almost unnoticeable because its slow.
Remember, one of the most common thoughts after healing is "I should of done it sooner". If men weren't happy? Why would they say that?
You can worry & agonize over this until you die or set your mind to do it & not look back. But if injections are acceptable & not causing any internal scarring. You might be ok to delay the IPP. Only YOU can decide that, not the forum.

I'm a grower too. My glans don't grow/engorge at all since my implant. Viagra and cialis didn't help so I currently use a VED pump and ring. I get great engorgement and extra length, thickness and hardness vs only inflating my implant.

Now this really does concern me. Have you been offered an explanation as to why there's no engorgement?

Well, I don't think it's that simple. That's the point of my post here, to gain knowledge and make an informed decision.

My situation isn't so simple, injections still work pretty well for me. The issues are that they're not spontaneous (no getting hard against a girl in a club or meeting a girl at the beach), they're finite (if I forget to have them on me or pharmacy is out I'm fucked), they may cause fibrosis and you can only use them twice in a 24 hour window.

With the implant problems are its irreversible, possible complications, Im young so multiple revisions, possible surfboard look, possible size reduction, potentially noticeable to girl (pump esp), and now this issue of possible lack of glans engorgement.

The guy just above your comment explained exactly that, that he no longer gets glans engorgement post implant and also has a small head.

So these are the discussions that are necessary making a careful decision.

Keep taking the injections until they stop working!!
And if the injections don't work for you, I use one of those rubber bands they put on a wad of bills as a ring. That worked better for me than any ring!!

Its always a good idea to consider the pros and cons of something fully before doing it, and especially if its medical and can't be reversed.

I was an extreme grower and while soft - also had a small glans, which would swell a LOT when aroused. Here's the thing - the swelling of the glans is controlled by methods OUTSIDE of the shaft. I.e. if you get glans engorgement NOW - without injections - i.e. through arrousal - then you SHOULD continue to do so post implant, however, your smaller glans should be considered when choosing an implant. My doctor recomended the CX over the Titan as this was one of the reasons - the rounder tips. Some surgeons can round the tips of the titan, but I dunno if I'd be a fan of that as it wouldn't be 'factory' then - and would the Titan folks cover the replacement if there was something wrong.

That being said - its going to be more about IF you get engorgement now or not.

I don't, so for me its a slight issue and I DO worry about erosion in the future - but thats a future problem - for me I was getting ZERO erections - and yeah - injections worked but I got deformity due to it (see my journal thread for pics). There are other ways to get engorgement - though I haven't tried cialis as of yet - suposedly that works. Pumps and help as well - and I do get engorgement that way - but it doesn't last. Also - my lack of engorgement has more to do with nerve damage than anything else.


The one bit of advice I would have PRO getting an implant - you really wont have to worry about injections or whether or not you CAN get hard. You just will be able to - whenever you want with no worry. To me that was an absolute win - and it has proven to be so regardless of any other downsides - that one makes up for ever other downside I've had.
