Revision size and pain level

Hello all... I had a revision of my implant done yesterday with Professor Ralph..
My first implant was 18cm with 2cm rte on the right and 18cm with 1.5cm on the left.
A 22cm implant was put in yesterday with no rte's..
Will this translate to any actual usable size difference I have no idea but for men who afraid about loss of size with revisions... this information should help..
Also pain level:
When i got the original implant, I had to use a lot of morphine, they gave me my own tap... I used so much at one stage I got sick everywhere!!! And now apart from what they gave me in theatre.. I've been using normal painkillers and not even the option of the stronger opiod choice...
I am flying back to Ireland today so just before I go I'm going to take the opiod choice as this will make travel easier!!!
So far the pain level is just way way less... things might change as the days go on..
So far a great result

Congrats on the revision! That was a good long run - 13 years!
Did you get the same make implant, i.e. Titan?
If so, I don't know exactly if there will be any major size difference - sounds like there maybe - i.e. you had an 18+2 = 20 and 18+1.5 = 19.5 and now have a 22. However, results may vary. I would assume some size gain - if you had any undersizing on the first one - but with the capsule well formed at this point it would be hard to say. My AMS 700 CX implant size was almost exactly the same as yours - 18+2 and 18+1 (the +2 was on the right side).
Hoping mine lasts as long~!

I had the prosthesis replacement three weeks ago. So far, I haven't noticed any difference in size, but I've only been cycling for a week. Cycling twice a day is by far the worst part of the prosthesis replacement process. But we have to be disciplined and endure the pain because it's worth it. I hope to gain a little size over time. One thing I've noticed is that the prosthesis has a larger inflatable part.
I didn't have any pain, just a little swelling of the scrotum and discomfort at the wound, but nothing serious. I had some discomfort from the urinary catheter. I took antibiotics for 10 days and something for the pain, but only rarely. I traveled by plane within 48 hours with no problems. The worst part by far is cycling. Take care of yourself and be very clean with the wound, when you go to the bathroom.

Hey Parmenides, i see you got a 4cm bigger implant. That is really a big difference. I wonder if you notice any difference at all compared to your previous implant? Do the tips of the implant reach any higher than they did before? Is there any difference in length or girth? Does it take longer to inflate? or any difference in stiffness?
to this day i am still amazed at how the same person can get a much bigger implant (4cm is huge) and still have the same penis size or not notice any difference. But you are not the first person to report such kind of things.

I had a revision a few months ago and my experience was like yours. My initial Nov. 2021 pain was brutal. I really wanted more drugs. My January 2025 revision was no problem at all (note I did have more drugs, which helped and was a factor). I assume it's like anything else and you get used to it.

For now, the length is the same. The only changes I've noticed are better angulation and a better shape/appearance. The doctor told me to inflate it daily to correct the hourglass figure. As I've mentioned on several occasions, I barely cycled during my previous implant fifteen and a half years ago because no one told me about it. Now I activate the prosthesis twice a day, and it's painful, especially if I do it when I'm not showering. The length is the same, but the prosthesis feels better, perhaps because it's a couple of centimeters more inflatables. It could also be because the other prosthesis had lost its ability to inflate to its full potential. After the operation, the doctor showed me the prosthesis he removed, and it looked very worn. Fifteen years is a long time. In short, the same length, thicker, and a greater sensation of pressure/stretching when I inflate it, similar to an erection. I'm now aware that this sensation had diminished in recent years. We'll see in the coming months if I gain some length, which would be great.
