Long period of erectile dysfunction - reason for longer recovery?

I’m sorry for the constant posts on here but after 7 weeks I still have so many questions / worries, mainly because I am still experiencing enough pain (e.g. even deflated I am semi erect such that wearing trousers results in painful swelling) preventing me from going back to my regular routine (working out, going back to office, etc.).

Prior to the surgery the surgeon said I would more or less be back to my regular in 6 weeks. Saw the surgeon last week and am now being told three months.

Been working from home but I can tell work are getting peeved. Also getting me really down as just can’t do other things like go to the gym or meet with friends etc.

I had erectile dysfunction for quite a few years (10) before the surgery. Could my longer recovery / pain / swelling be due (or partly) to this?

lifetimetmser, I remember your posts and can relate because my own recovery was unusually rough. Recall it took 10 weeks before things settled down and got back to something more normal. It had been several years for me also, but I didn't experience the kind of pain you are describing. Most of my issues seemed to be from excessive bleeding. As I said previously, there's nothing wrong with getting a second opinion about what you're experiencing. I do it all the time for lots of things. If I were you I'd do it if for no other reason than to set your mind at ease.

Not sure if I sent this before, but here's a list of Dr's and practices recommended by members of the forum.

Thanks so much for your reply, Kodixx. I’m really grateful. I’ve made an appointment for a second opinion today which is in 10 days time. The idea that that consultation will give me more clarity has helped calm my nerves somewhat. Really appreciate your thoughtful and kind reply.

Hi I'm 10 days after and have been deflated yesterday. When I maintain my dick upward it hurts also and it becomes even warm. Today I folded manually between the base of my penis and the pubic bone. I felt there was a sort of resistance and think that it's the cylinder that fold that way. That gave me a sort of relief but still hurts.
Try maybe to feel with your fingers if there is something that blocks an easy folding.

Lifetime, it just takes time for some of us guys, we all heal different. It took me longer than a lot of guys on FrankTalk, I thought that I would never have good sex again or I wouldn't be able to ride my bike again, but it did get better.
At 6 weeks I could barely get in 10 pumps in my new Bionic Dick and it hurt like heck. It sounds like you are on the same path that I was, so give it a few more weeks and I think that you will be a lot better.
Thankfully, I was fully retired from work, so I just had to heal up at home and get better so I could have great sex again. For me it took about 4 months to get back to the place where my new Bionic dick felt like my old original dick.

Hang in there,
SWorks

Thank you both.

Sworks - after 4 months were you able to spend the day in trousers for a whole day with no discomfort?
