Difficult time

So, at 7 1/2 weeks, I am now having sex. The pain is manageable. But, with a mostly numb dick, I’m unable to cum. I’ve tried masterbating several times, but it’s as if there is no longer a connection between my dick and my brain. After each sex session, I feel like I’m about to explode. I’m afraid that if this is permanent, I will loose interest in sex altogether. This is not fun and frustrating as hell. So, I wait for the feeling to return. … if it does.

Osprey, don't give it up, you're just few weeks from surgery, somtimes the sensuality comes back after few months. Just relax and wait, give it time and try to find out what is stimulating you most, like Oral sex, or others.
All the best
Dan

The time period after my surgery when I went through the greatest uncertainty about getting the implant was during the first couple of months after I was cleared for sex, which was at eght weeks. It was for the same reasons: lack of sensitivity, difficulty climaxing, pain and discomfort during sex.
But about two months in, as my body healed and the implant softened some, things got much, much better quickly.
Hopefully, you have a similar trajectory.

osprey i reccomend u watch my previous post in the delayed ejaculation post
if u didnt i can shar it with you here:
numb dick causes
"1 low testosterone
2 high serotonin
3 high prolactin
4 surgery/or injury to the penis (u have to let the penis heal it could take years for penis to heal fully)
5 low dopamine
6 pssd which should heal over time.
7 anxiety stress depression which could affect ur performance in bed u have to be comfortable first
8 u have to recharge after sex or masturbation give ur self time to get horny again"

What type of surgery did you have, infrapubic or penoscrotal? It seems like the IP surgery has to get closer to the nerve bundles, and might cause some longer temporary loss of sensation due to nerve trauma/inflammation. That should eventually calm down and sensation should return, judging from others' posts on the topic.

Strange. What did the doctor tell you?

Osprey, my experience has been similar to Time2Change's. It wasn't until around week 10 or 12 that sex became more about enjoyment and less about discomfort. At week 14 post-op the discomfort is very manageable if I pump up to just under 100%. Sensitivity has a ways to go but continues to get better. In the meantime, Dan offers good advice.

Ihave a AMS 700™ Inflatable Penile Prosthesis for 2 months now. I just can't pump the damn thing. It takes all the strength I have to squeeze the pump/ball. Any idea. Ii am very frustrated and feeling like I made a bad decision. I can't get it to not roll around.'Any suggestions helpful?

im almost 4 months post op, and my shaft at the top is still numb. Once i get to the skin before the head i have sensation. The entire penis except the top part of my shaft i can actually feel. It was id say 4 weeks before i had sex. And i came pretty easy. I thanked the lord every day after that. Ive read the stories.

Was your surgery IP or PS? I'm trying to get a feel if guys with sensation issues are more likely to have had one vs. the other.
