I'm having a lot of trouble with urination and I see my uro Friday. I think there is a good chance he will explant me for a period.
For those of you who have been explanted for months or more, what does it feel and look like?
Thanks

Explanted for a period of time?
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

Re: Explanted for a period of time?
Hi, thanks
I have a weak stream and dribbling. Urinary retention.
If it's just a matter of the rods putting pressure on the urethra then he might not have a period of explantation. But if it's something that requires surgical intervention (like if my urethra or bladder neck is damaged), then I think there will be a period of not having an implant.
I have a feeling that all that scar tissue in the corporal space must feel uncomfortable
